About Greenbrier River Campground, Cabins and River Trips
Greenbrier River Campground, Cabins and River Trips is a charming, family-friendly destination nestled on 8 acres along the Greenbrier River. Open from April through November, it offers a variety of accommodations including tree-lined RV sites, wooded tent camping spots, and rentals like four fully-equipped cabins and vintage Airstreams. Guests enjoy access to a thousand feet of riverfront, ideal for fishing and swimming, with one of the best swimming holes on the river. The campground also provides full-service tubing, kayaking, and canoe trips, catering to all paddling skill levels from Class I to Class III. Visitors praise the friendly and accommodating staff who maintain the campground well and offer helpful information about river conditions. Many highlight the fun tubing trips, with shuttles provided to the river drop-off and pick-up, making floating easy and enjoyable. The campground has amenities such as volleyball, corn hole, and horseshoes, creating opportunities for outdoor fun. Guests appreciate the cleanliness of the sites and the scenic location by the river, although some note that the area can be noisy due to nearby train tracks and a busy road. The entrance to the campground can be tricky to find, and caution is advised when leaving, especially on steep hills and in passing zones. Overall, Greenbrier River Campground is a welcoming place with a warm-hearted staff, perfect for relaxing, outdoor activities, and memorable river adventures.
