“Staff was super friendly had great check in person, rooms were nice only bad thing I could say bout mine is when walked in smelled like b o but I opened patio door and sprayed sum body spray than it was so much better. The only real disappointment was breakfast, bacon was not cooked all way and my granddaughter got a pancake and when she went to take bite it was not cooked all way through. But again there was only 2 ppl cooking for all guest so they probably need a little more help. Pool and spa were great! I would absolutely recommend this place to stay!Rooms: Room was nice, just smell of B.O wasn’t but simple fix.Nearby activities: Loved it was close to stores and restaurants and river.Safety: Area felt safeWalkability: Very good everything was walkableFood & drinks: Missed out on this but they did have a coco bar set up in lobby for kids was great!Noteworthy details: Staff was so great and made me feel really welcomed!”

“We were in town for a memorial service for a former colleague. They let us check in early, so we could change for the service and freshen up after being on the road for 4 hours. They gave us the bereavement rate which we weren't expecting. Rooms were clean and we had a good night's sleep before heading home. Definitely would recommend and stay again should we return to Yakima.”

“In reality the hotel is a nice property but the room was small if you ask me.There was some one roach in my room which I saw in the morning. I brought it to the notice of the front desk and they reimbursed me with a $10 coupon for food/drink at a drive thru coffee shop next door.”

“For my experience in Yakima, this is my preferred place to stay. The location is good, not too far from shopping for food. An older hotel, but kept up well. Rooms are clean. Not worried about my vehicle in the parking lot. The breakfast is better than most BW's. The value is good which brings a lot of contractors in, but it still stays fairly quiet.”

“I do not believe this. This was the Red Apple Motel back in Sept. 05, 1960. How do I know that? On Sept.05, 1960, my bride and I were married in Othello, Washington. WE needed a hotel not too far ftom Othello . My brother, David, gave us his AAA book of hotels in Washington, and we fund the Red Apple Hotel listed and it sounded like a great place for our Wedding Night to stay in. We. made the drive in about 2 hours. Just to prove this, here is a memento from that Hotel that I just found tucked away in a kitchen drawer. My sweet wife who passed away after 61+ years of a wonderful marriage, Feb. 10th. 2022, must have hidden it in that kitchen drawer all these years. I will be celebrating her two year Anniversary of her passing in just 7 more days (Feb.m 10, 2022). What a time to find that match book (and neither of us ever smoked either).”

“Staying here for an extended stay and the staff is polite just a bit strict about their rules which is good. Have had one maintenance issue with fridge but otherwise great place.”

“We were able to check in very quickly upon arriving. We parked free onsite and it felt safe. The room was clean and looked like the pictures. The free breakfast had lots of options including chocolate milk and oat milk that you don’t find at a lot of hotels. Shopping and dining within walking distance. A nice walking, jogging, biking trail on the other side of the freeway. We would stay here again.”

“The girl who works the front desk in the morning (tall beautiful brunette) is amazing. My morning appointment ended much sooner than expected and she let me check in early, no problem. She told me about some cool spots in town and was very personable. I was almost disappointed with how quickly she got me checked in because we were having such good convo. Great customer service goes a long way with me. I wish I got her name (and number lmao) because she deserves recognition.Hotel reviewPros:I always have doubts when choosing a hotel because of the price (lol) but I was pleasantly surprised by this Days Inn. The rooms are clean, no foul smells and nothing was stained or broken. The doors are thick and the locks work well. TVs have a lot of channels + HBO. Plenty of outlets for charging devices. Wifi worked well enough to play COD Mobile and watch videos on YouTube. The microwave, fridge and coffee pot all worked well. The bathroom was clean and a decent size. The rooms have plenty of storage space, lighting, a desk, dark blinds for sleeping in and an arm chair with a table by the window. There’s a small closet with hangers, an iron/board, a shelf and a safe. They serve breakfast from 6-9am that includes: waffles, scrambled eggs, yogurt, cereal, milk, muffins, toast, bagels, juice and coffee.Cons:If this hotel was in a different part of town, they could easily charge $15-20 more per night. It’s not the worst area and I wasn’t concerned about my safety but I made sure to park near my room to keep an eye/ear on my car. Other than that I can’t really say anything negative about this hotel. I wouldn’t expect $60/night to include a pool, fitness room or huge breakfast. If you’re looking for those things then you should expect to pay closer to $90-100 per night.”

“Great motel, lovely service, the housekeeper is extremely friendly. The owner is also very nice. Would highly recommend. The people that dislike the place may have a bias since they dont accept crackheads.”

“Not fancy at all. But clean and good location close to downtown. For some reason, every place was sold out the weekend we traveled to Yakima... some major softball tournaments, from what I heard. We only needed a place to sleep and shower... I wouldn't typically leave a review for Motel 6, but really have to mention that the staff was really good. Rivaled the service you'd get elsewhere... I'm pretty sure the owner was also the front desk person, and he helped clean rooms... He made a point of stopping us and asking how our stay was. He made great small talk and was super friendly. It made a big difference and very unexpected.”

“So this place has continued to improve despite it's bad rep for past experiences. The houseKeeper works hard to maintain high cleaning standards and expectations. My bf and I have stayed here often and notice that the staff does care about the customer's concerns, when they get complaints about any type of bugs in a room they strip it, spray or bomb it and clean it. Ive noticed that they are working hard to clean this, newly named, Red Lion up and change it's reputation.”
