Went in for some medication for my toddler that’s been pretty sick with the flu these past couple of weeks. Went to this pharmacy for the first time and got helped by Virginia, and made my whole experience just great. Super friendly, great customer service, quick , overall I’m glad to have my baby’s medication. Thank you Virginia!

VIRGINIA (yakima fred meyers pharmacist). Soo an employee of the pharmacy named Virginia answers the phone. I very politely explain to Vagina that I am simply calling for the status of my prescription. Because I'm tired of them never having a prescriptions ready when they should. I also tell her I just need an idea of when it will be done so I don't waste my time money and gas. She decided to be a smarta$$ and say "uhh, today" And that was her update "uhh today ". I talked to another lady Susan and she could actually tell me an exact time to come in and everything. Susan you rock! Virginia get burnt, and if you can't act a professional and do you're job then quit and work at Wendy's.

I do not give a lot of negative reviews, but this place has been very unprofessional to me several times now, such that I have transferred my prescriptions elsewhere. I still enjoy shopping at the grocery store, but if you can avoid the pharmacy and go anywhere else, I would. They seem to half-train people and then give them a lot of authority, which I think is a bad combination for anyone on the receiving end of customer service in such a place.

UPDATE: The pharmacy has gone through some major staff & protocol changes,, which I enjoy coming here again! I get Rx quickly & efficiently, staff is good again & grateful to not have all the hold-ups & hiccups anymore? Thanks!! And good job!!PREVIOUSLY: This pharmacy has become the absolute WORST in the valley... I DO NOT RECOMMEND!! I have gone here for over a decade but just in the past year alone, it has become 100% unreliable, every-single-time! I cannot tell you the last time I was able to pick up a prescription the day they tell and/or text me, the time I scheduled for pick-up online or just within 24/48/lately 72 hours from when it was called in by my physician. REGARDLESS, IT IS NEVER THE SAME DAY!! Oddly they keep cutting their hours & the worst they get? I have worked in the medical field for over 2 decades, so I have patience & understanding for the process, just not when it's unprofessional, unreliable & costs me so much time/money/gas/rude behaviors. They like to project the blame on me, tell me the new procedure or 'process' of why they didn't do their job, why they didn't use my insurance on file (and unchanged for the past 10+ years on the samemed I get every month for the past 6 years) & unfortunately, they are unable to fill any of my family's prescriptions in a timely manor. For example, I was told on the phone when to pick up my Ex faxed in 48 hrs ago & that was now the following day [72 hrs past], so I came even later to be safe & again the prescription was STILL was not ready. I actually got chewed out right then & there about how I needed to call before I come next time & ask for the new prescription my doctor sent to be filled. Now I am being told that they can't fill while I wait, I have to wait for my prescription to reach cue. As I sit here nearly an hour, I literally watch & hear EVERY PATIENT who approaches have problems with pick-up & some told another day. Not sure if their constant failure stems from taking over all the 'transfers' from other pharmacies in the valley who have closed in recent years, but they definitely need a quality management position to give their patients/clients continuity of care/services. Imo

If you can possible go anywhere else, DO IT. LONG, LONG LINES, STANDING UP! Customer "service" ranges from defensive to downright snarky. Whoever is responsible for that fiasco should get a different job.

They never have prescriptions ready even if you drop it off the morning before and tell them you will be back the next day for it, always an excuse for why it's not ready, then they tell you to have a seat while they get it ready! Try putting auto refills set to pick up on the same date every month and wind up having to come back 2 or 3 times because they can't do that right either!

Love the store but you're likely to get a disease from the bathrooms, we have Walmarts mini Marts and burger kings here but this is the most disgusting bathroom in all of Yakima. It has been for years and years, an ex employee I know told me that they don't pay the people who clean it very well or even treat them well, so it's a management level issue.

July of 23 Fred Meyers are so high to cover theft. Products fresh and dry are so over priced. One of the rudest stores. Employees are nasty and literally won't help you. I saw a protein shake in less than one wk go up from $19.00 for a 12 pack to $28 in four days. I sope at Walmart, way better lower prices on exact same item. The gas is like $.060 less per gal than Fred Meyers gas. Same quality of gas. Fred Meyers SUCKS!!!!

They told me there was a nationwide shortage of my medicine. My insurance is new and has to review prescriptions, so i was paying out of pocket. They offered no suggestions. The woman pharmacist was rude and offered no help on what to do.I called Walgreens, they had my medicine and signed me up for Good Rx. Instead of paying $900.00 out of pocket, thanks to Walgreens suggestion, I paid 189.00. I'm switching to Walgreens.

Awful! Usually my go to pharmacy... never going again. After realizing they didn't take our insurance anymore we asked to just pay for my 2 year old sons prescription and they told us we couldn't because it was "insurance prescribed". I've literally never heard that before and I've defiantly paid for prescriptions before. Called my sons dr and they said they have never heard of it either. So thank you so much fredmyer pharmacy for denying us prescribed eye drops for my 2 year Olds severe pink eye.

Considering their decreased staff, they have been polite and patient. The wait line can be quite long but there is usually always one person at check out.

My son and I came here because we got a voucher for some free clothing. after we picked out our things I was told I had to go to the cashier lin...I got number 2 her name was Lily the minute she realize that I had vouchers her attitude and demeanor changed it went from pleasantly greeting me to glaring me at me and looking at me up and down like I was a piece of garbage. Each item she was checking out she slammed it in as she rang it up and then threw it carelessly to the end of the conveyor belt there was no hi how are you there was no smile there was nothing I felt completely embarrassed and extremely uncomfortable. Almost like I was troubling her for purchasing these items with a voucher like I was a pain in the ass and I was putting her out even though it's her job to ring things up. If it wasn't for the fact I have to do this with my older son to I would say I would never come back so after I do the second bout of humiliation I am sure I'm going to get when I enter the store I will never come back into the store ever again every time I come here I'm treated like a thief even though I spend lots of money here on multiple things the employees will follow you around and pretend like they wanna help you when they're really just watching you to make sure you don't shoplift. And when you do ask them or some thing else they have no clue. I have never stolen anything in my life and I've always paid for everything but yet I still feel like I'm doing something wrong every time I come into the store they really need to not discriminate against people just because somebody has a voucher and Lily should really take some customer service classes because that was awful and her green hair doesn't help anything either. I hope some thing is done about this because the vibe in here was awful.Oh and by the way I will be informing my 35,000 followers on Instagram about my experience today.

Horrible customer service . Always behind, constantly fill late, always new personal who are always rude and have no idea how to treat patients and customers. The worst part is some medications are time sensitive through insurance and at times them being "short handed" and not able to fill your prescription causes you to run out of medication and constantly be behind. Also, you can go there physically and wait for a late prescription hours and still have to wait in line after they text you when your physically there. I've been coming to the pharmacy for over 10 years and post COVID it has been the worst experience. I need to just change pharmacies.
