Nice rooms but the front desk is horrible. Stayed there for work and they never gave the price they promised. So you would call them after getting the bill and ask them to fix it they say they will but they don't so you have to call again. And then they charged two rooms to my card and won't remove the second charge until they get someone else to pay for the other. Cause it's my fault the front desk bill everything wrong!!

This is strictly a review of our Christmas party that was held by my employer. The first year they held it at this location I believe. I'm sure lots of planning was put into the endeavor, but we left after only about 1 hr. They served what I guess one would call "hors d'oeuvres." Tiny plates and dried out biscuits that would have been a great substitute for a hockey puck. The wait staff that cleared tables was ok, but not all that friendly. We had a better "continental breakfast" at the Quality Inn in Vancouver, WA. No music either, not sure if this was an oversight on my companies part, but it made for a dull holiday party. If this dining experience is anything like a stay at this hotel, count us out.

OMG. Not only was there an hour wait for check in, the staff completely ignored my.r and charged my personal credit card when they had the right business card on file. Do not use this facility. There was a "sucks to be you" attitude from the general manager named Julianna and refused to offer a viable solution for correcting error. Extremely misguided, "customer is wrong" approach to problem solving.

To be fair this is typically a decent hotel. Disappointed tonight though. Tried calling in for room service. No answer, and 30 minutes later no call back after a voicemail was left. I spend a lot of nights here at this hotel. I don't expect a red carpet service, just someone to take an order. Ordered Dominoes pizza instead. Really disappointed as I am a gold member at this hotel chain. I plan to switch to the Hilton Garden Inn down the street going forward. Lesson learned. 1 hour later still no return call. Dominoes was here 15 minutes ago. Disappointed. They lost my business. Aaron Erickson

Being well traveled over the last decade of my career - I can honestly say this is one of the top Holiday Inns I've ever stayed at across the US. Probably among the best hotels in general too. Ultra clean facility and rooms. Everything is updated and bright. The service staff was very friendly and accommodating. There is a gated parking lot as well which gave me a lot of peace of mind while sleeping as I traveled here by motorcycle. The location is great as well, as it's about a mile away from all the downtown restaurants and bars and right off the freeway as well. There really isn't I could complain about. Loved it! If I ever find myself in Yakima again, this Holiday Inn will be my first choice!

New nixe H.I. in downtown Yak. Good food, great bat & breakfast. Gym, pool, jacuzzi, nice rooms, ambience and staff. PNWU med school recommended this hotel. Free fenced car parking. Nice safe area. Convenient to area and PNWU & Capitol theater grad location. Can't go wrong here for nice, clean, hotel & service. We were there for 4 days.

Last night my stay here went well. Hotel is easy to find, parking lot is well lit and offers public and gated parking. Lobby and guest room decor updated recently. I had work to do last night and appreciated the free WiFi and rolling desk. Comfy room, nice mattress and pillows. Good lighting. Clean room. Prices on par with area hotels in Yakima. Friendly professional desk clerk Taylor did a great job at checkin. I would stay here again. In room coffee decent. Didn't eat or drink at the on-site restaurant.

Although I didn't stay at this location but based on my conversation with front desk lady .. I can tell this is a horrible place...we drive Tesla and were in emergency and was looking to add charge for 15 mins I did offer to pay for it but front desk lady refused to help...I understand they have right to refuse but as a courtesy they if some one is in trouble especially when it's super cold outside they could have helped us and earn our business ... If you truly support global green effort then please don't stay at this place

Great thanks to all the staff! The manager showed up at 7am to meet me to make sure there was a room clean so I could get right in and get some sleep !!!! Well maybe not for me but the Broadway show staff that was on my bus might have had some pull but the king bed in my room was amazing I only wish I could afford one for my wife and our home anyway the place was great they had Starbucks 24-7 they had a bistro on site. But the two girls that were working the front desk were great !! They helped me with the laundry the washer didn't spin enough so had to finally use the big one in the back so I could get some sleep!! Any don't stay anywhere else if you need a hotel you won't be disappointed!!! The manager helped me by showing me where to plug in my bus so it would start and he even grabbed some salt himself and spread it out in front of my bus door!!! I didn't expect him to jump in but he was great said I'll take care of it don't worry !!!! Absolutely the best service I've seen in a long time ! I always tell the people on my tour buses there's a difference between someone the likes his job and someone who really loves his job like me I love my job and it shows and it shows in the holiday inn there too!!!

The two girls working Friday Night 1/4/2019 until 11pm were absolutely amazing.. We called in on our way here from Portland and they were Extremely nice on the phone..... once we got there the Girl at the Front desk I think it might've been the same girl we called on our way there was really nice and very welcoming and showed us everything we needed to know.. ROOMS WERE EXTREMELY CLEAN AND NOT OUT OF DATE. THE BEDS WERE NICE AND COMFY.... The next morning when we were leaving we had couple issues with the Older lady that works at front desk.. She was pretty rude to my sister and acted like we were there trying to get free food or some s*** but really we paid for a voucher the night before when booking our room, the two girls just forgot to give us the vouchers. What a pain in the a** that was to try and explain we had to run back up to the room grab receipt and she still argued bout it.. Acted like we were gonna cash them in or something and was telling us we received them the night before.. OVERALL I GIVE THIS PLACE 5 STARS. NOT TO SHABBY OF A PLACE..

This review is really on the service level of this property. We decided on a whim to just take off and head to central Washington...... Why? Just because. So we head out and have no reservations just a general location to head. We arrive in Yakima and stop by this property after stopping at one additional and I have to say Taylor at the front desk was the winning smile and greetings that made us stay. Not only did we get a rate that was extremely fair but she walked me right through the security gate procedure for the secured parking lot, gave us information on the area and then when returning from the pool asked us if we were happy with our room, and gave us a free appetizer coupon with an entree at the bistro. The next morning after breakfast (complementary order off the menu and cooked to order mind you, not a free for all buffet) she was again at the front desk and made sure to say hello to my wife as we headed out for the day and made sure we were again happy with the room and hotel. Love this place...... centrally located and so nice. currently doing some renovations on the 4th floor but that just shows they are keeping things fresh. Taylor is a great face for your property folks make sure she is happy becasue she made sure that we were!

I paid my stay in full. The following day they insisted a credit card to hold for incidentals. They would not run the card. I was assured of it. I woke up this morning to check my account and they charged my debit card $238.06. Everything I had in my bank account for this trip was gone. It took 1/2 hour for the manager to get to the hotel. Apparently nobody working at the hotel could handle this situation. Once she got here at 9:05 am it took her another 20 minutes to fax my bank a letterhead releasing those funds back to my account. My training starts at 9 am. This mess started at 8:15 am. It is now 9:29 am. My boss is pissed. So we'll see if I have a job when I eventually get there. No compensation. Just a, "Sorry about that." SERIOUSLY??????

This is an odd review for me. I overall like the hotel, nice building, like the gated parking, close enough to downtown and overall clean and nice. The downside is the front desk staff. They act like they are doing you a favor. I have had to wait a long time in line to check in with a front desk staff that acts like there are doing you a favor. This is based on my most recent stays. Will probably stay there again although there is a brand new Holiday Inn Express that I may try. Just my opinion. I hope they change their attitude as I really want to stay at this location and hotel.

Very modern facility. Our room contained two double beds, was very clean and well laid out. I deducted one star because the mattress was much too soft for my liking. Other than that, we had no complaints. The water pressure in the shower was excellent, the room was very clean and the express check-out was helpful.

We arrived the hotel around 7:30pm, got in the room but found out the TV was on, there were a box of unfinished blueberries and unfinished bottle water in the room. We also saw an used soap and opened shampoo bottle in the bathroom. We waited for 20 minuets to get another room, but when we enter the second one, the bed was not made, the room was not cleaned, it's even worse!! We needed to drag our stuff back to the lobby, waiting for them to finish cleaning up the first room we got. By then the Thai restaurant we planned to go was going to close in 10 mins. We were so tired to search for food and ended up going to bed without proper dinner. This was our first time staying in Holiday Inn, so disappointed!
