Let’s just say that I never have really cared for this vet to the point when it came time to put my old girl down, we took her somewhere else. The staff at medical services they are not warm and friendly. We never had a legit bad experience with a certain staff member or anything. But just overall they lack emotion, communication and again.. being warm!

I really thought about it before I decide to leave this review as we will continue to be clients, but I really came to the conclusion that I can not be the only who who feels this way. The Dr and staff are always great! I appreciate all they have done for us. However the receptionist Cathy is a different story keep in mind I am a very easy going person and I have felt this way since I became a patient here a couple years back I’ve never had a good or even an “ok” experience with her in person or over the phone the way she talks to you is so rude and I always disregard it but when it’s been every single time she always seems so bothered. I’ve been a receptionist for 8 years at the practice that I work for and I could never imagine talking to someone the way she does where is the customer service? I always make sure my patients feel comfortable and welcomed as a receptionist we are the first point of contact of the clinic. I was glad that at my last visit I did not have to deal with her as she was gone and the office manager was at the front desk.

Its been a while since I've been to this vet, but because my friend who just went there recently just had an issue as well, I thought I'd finally speak up. I went there to get both of my male cats fixed because there was nobody else in town who could do it at the time. My first cat, I had taken in to get fixed and get his shots. I left a blanket in his kennel so after surgery, he would be comfortable. When I received my cat at pick up time, they had taken the blanket out and gave it to me because they "Didn't want him to get pee on it." ... which in turn, instead of leaving the blanket there to absorb any pee, he ended up peeing all over himself and on the plastic kennel, and was left to soak in it (with stitches that dissolve over time, no less...) So... That was the first issue. Second issue was that they made me come in for two rounds of shots, and then charged me for deworming that I never requested. When I asked them why they dewormed him without my knowledge or permission, they stated it was their policy, and I was forced to pay it. And the icing on the cake, was when my cat was due for his second round of shots, which I already presumed I had paid for, they charged me an additional $100 for the second round I already thought I'd paid for.... Once my regular vet was open, I called for my cat's records, and the lady on the phone argued with me back and forth before she finally sent the records to my preferred vet office. The funny part of it all, was when I took my OTHER cat to my preferred vet in Selah to get his shots, they charged me $60 flat fee and said he was good for a year... So, in short, I feel like I've gotten scammed, and finally am speaking up about it after my friend mentioned that she had to visit Animal Medical Service, and they charged her for deworming medication that her dog never actually received due to them being "out of stock" but still sent her an invoice for it and expect her to pay.

If I could give them zero stars I definitely would. I e never been treated so badly by a business. They quoted me a price of $400.00 for a spay on my poodle. I paid $130.00 down, then was charged $315.00 for blood tests and shots, along with a worming I DID NOT co sent to. Then the “receptionist” told me I would have to pay $400.00 for the actual surgery. When I phoned them I asked if they were the Humane Society Soay and Neuter Clinic. The girl DID NOT tell me different when I clearly asked her. I told her I can’t afford to pay because of Covid. I’m still trying to dig out financially. I was clearly upset and she told me it was my fault. “We get that question all the time about the Humane Society.” Clearly she was lying to refuse any responsibility. She wasn’t even the one that answered the phone. I told her how upset I was that I had wasted $450.00 and my dog still wasn’t going to be spayed. She proceeded to tell me that the money was not wasted because she got her shots. How outrageous is it to tell me whether or not the money was expendable in my budget! Her attitude was apparent. She could not have cared less and made it clear it my fault.I left before I lost my temper and I waited the weekend to call back to cancel the surgery appointment. I told the different girl, yet again a different person, why I was upset and she showed the same attitude. I told her that I didn’t figure my complaint t would even be listened to. So she told me “All you want is confrontation..”These people are unethical and unprofessional. They’re unfriendly and unkind. Their prices are way higher than anyone else in the area. Double to be exact. If I could have afforded $1000.00 for a spay service on a 13lb dog I wouldn’t have gone to this hell hole of a clinic. I would have gone to my own veterinary office I already have. I wish to God I had read their reviews beforehand because I never would have gone. This is a long review but it doesn’t even begin to tell how angry and insulted I feel at these snotty nosed smart mouths. If you’re looking for kindness don’t go here. They returned my dog to me with blood all over her fur where they drew the blood. God only knows what they did to her. She came back shaking and terrorized.

Like others have said if I could give zero stars I would, they smile in your face and stab you in the back close to $800.00 to have my blue heeler that is 1 year old spayed, if the bad reviews ain’t enough I’m telling you don’t go to this vet, and of course on their site it’s nothing but good reviews, so check Google first which I wish I would have done, I’m going to be selling second opinions from vets based on the paper of care given to my canine and see if it’s legit or if there is a case of price gouging going on, please share especially local people, so others are aware.

Great staff. Dr. did me a huge favor that he didn't have to do. It was very much appreciated. I highly recommend. They take Care Credit, and I believe they are still taking new patients.

I definitely have some mixed emotions. On one hand the staff is very friendly. Unfortunately on the other hand I've never had a problem up until a week ago with the new vet? (I'm assuming) I brought in a new GSD and upon him walking in the room he immediately walked in on edge and had the tech put a muzzle on her before attempting to do anything which he just listened to my concerns and made the tech do everything.

I recently started taking my female 9 year old GSD . She had a tumor removed over 2 months ago from airport west vet. And idk what they did but man my girl has been struggling with infections at the incision site every since then. So for one thing, Airport West did not prescribe antibiotics as a precautionary after surgery, which was a big mistake. Anyway, long story short Animal Medical services is the best that I have ever been to. They are getting my girl back to health and I am so grateful for themUpdate my dog ended up not making and had to go be with Jesus but this dr really put up a fight an tried . I am so grateful for the caring and compassion they had for us

Our vet in selah is down because of a fire, we Went to this vet to get my dogs meds which is a controlled substance, It wasn’t easy working with them They never tell you when you can get your prescription because the doctor that is hardly there was the one that saw our dog to write off the prescription and took us weeks to finally find out why they would only ok the prescription not if the doctor was there , in those weeks before finding out, they just denied a the meds with out telling us why. They were at times rude on the phone and refuse to communicate to you until you have to get a hold of the manager. At the end of the day our old vet came through and got us a prescription for our dog, after spending my money at Animal medical service. Granted the test they had the dog took helped, but it’s ridiculous to spend all that time no one communicating with you it’s sad when your need help and you never get it. Why have a doctor that is seldom there to write off these type of these prescriptions, it makes them unreliable, and frustrating. I’m looking for another vet, Im not going to continue chasing people down for lack of communication.

My wife took our 2 yr old female Shepherd in to get spayed. $155 down which was said to be taken out of $500 on pick up. We were told since Selah Vet burned down that all patients from there would be waved $75 first visit fee. we still had to pay $15. On pick up they still charged $554. Mind you, we were told worst case scenario would be $500. That's even if she had enlarged uterus. Total bill $724.00 for a spay. As my wife was questioning the amount of this bill the gal just turned and walked away. Needless to say we will NOT be taking our pets back here ever again. They are crooks, rude, and have poor customer relations. 0 star if it were possible.

The vet and the others in this office are very kind. They were gentle and caring with my girl. They made sure she was healthy and gave her shots for the UTI. I am sure they will be just as caring every time we take one of our babies there.
