I recently was diagnosed with cancer and a prescription for pain meds was approved by not only my doctor but my insurance, but the pharmacy wouldn't fill it as they said it was too soon. When I explained my situation and that the doctor and my insurance approved it, their response was "The pharmacy doesn't care whether you have cancer or not! The pharmacy's policy is NOT to fill any pain meds early!" Now while I understand that there are certain CDC guidelines as well as pharmacy policies they must adhere to...to speak that way to ANYONE in such a snide, unexceptionable way is just wrong. And not only did she say it to me, but said it so loudly that everyone in line heard her as well. Even they looked disgusted in not only her words, but especially her tone. My doctor ended up writing me another prescription, but I had them change to Fred Meyer pharmacy in Salmon Creek, where I KNOW their customer service is very good. The thing is, is this is not the first time I've had issues with this pharmacy. Between the rudeness, short curt phone calls where they cut you off and hang up on you quickly. As well as not getting through on the phone for 4 days straight and wait times on meds where you're told an hour and it take 4, I'm DONE with them. And I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND that anyone who's thinking about using this pharmacy, possibly think twice. I understand they're short staffed and they have a lot of people to help, but there is NO EXCUSE for talking to people the way they do. And I know I'm not the only one, because I've heard them talking to other's the same way. The Tech's are great and do their best, but the lady Pharmacist is exceptionally rude, and clearly uncaring. And if I could give them a negative -2 star rating for her alone...I would!

This Safeway continues to offer exceptional customer service! Thank you James (in produce) for procuring the watermelon variety bowl for us. Your extra efforts are appreciated! Sharla was our cashier, she was helpful and friendly. As mentioned before, we live closer to Longview - but prefer this Safeway = it's all about the folks working here -that make shopping a pleasant experience.

The pharmacy has one of the worst pharmacists ever. Eye rolling, condescending, can't be bothered to answer questions. She kept saying that our insurance didn't cover a prescription, when we called before hand and asked if it was covered. She argued about it, then the other pharmacist overheard, and told her we called, and in fact the prescription was covered. So she literally doesn't know the business and is too arrogant to ask. At another point, she walked off and never came back? I'm surprised she still works here as this is an ongoing issue Safeway won't address. You lost our business, Walmart pharmacy is just around the corner.

Every time I've been to this store this year, there has always been at least one customer bringing in a non-service dog. When I complained, the employees always say that it is store policy to tolerate this, even though it is against state law. Today, I was there about to check out, when some dog urinated all the aisle -around 6:30 PM. The cashiers ran over there to clean up the mess while one of them talked to the owner in the parking lot. They should be reported for this policy.

Standing in line for 20 plus minutes at the pharmacy. One person working the counter. Only reason this line is getting shorter is because others are getting mad, and leaving. Im definitely switching my pharmacy.
