Fantastic place to stay. My friend and I got stuck when our campground was closed and we drove around calling places to see if they had a vacancy. Arrived at this hotel the front desk gentleman was amazing couldn't have been more helpful got us I think the last room exactly what we needed at a great rate. Free breakfast in the morning as well can't beat that.

There were dead bed bugs in the room, and the electrical went out in the whole room when I plugged in a charger. What you'd expect from a hotel room and a better than usual breakfast.

Very rarely I experience such a great and personal level of customer service. I called this place 3 times, to reserve, to check on details, and to make a reservation change. Every single time my call was answered right away by a human, with real discretionary power to address the issues immediately and satisfactorily, and an incredibly positive and collaborative attitude. All of this is quite rare nowadays. This is the difference between service and hospitality. People remember how you make them feel! Kudos to Joe, and thanks for putting up with thick Hispanic accent over the phone!
(We ended up cancelling for a last-minute reservation at a place closer to Mt. Helen's winter-route trailhead, but 10/10 would stay at this place any time, the mental offload of knowing that one will be taken care of is priceless. In any case, the rest of the reviews speak volumes of the conditions.)

Nothing negative to say about this place. Location is excellent as it’s right off I-5 and within 45-minutes of downtown Portland. Would also be a nice point to access the south Mt. St. Helens area. There’s a nice, quiet area (along with some rooms) to view the Lewis River. Service was fantastic and the rooms were very clean & comfortable. Plenty of stores/restaurants/bars within walking distance.

I traveled alone, but was meeting a friend from out of town.
The room was very clean. It was quite small, but adequate for one person. Small for even two people. It appeared to be newly updated.
My friend was unable to meet the first night due to a canceled flight. She called the inn and was able to get a refund for her first night. That was very kind since it was out of her control. I didn’t even ask for a refund since I drove and did not fly. However, since she didn’t arrive I didn’t sleep there the first night.
The second night she did arrive and all was fine till after dark. We left for dinner and came back and there was a very large party in a room below mine. The music was extremely loud. There were many, many people in and out of the room. There was loud singing and it was just a rowdy situation.
I’m guessing someone called and complained because about 11 pm the music died down. However, the people then went out tot he parking lot and were very loud and swearing. There was alcohol involved.
As a single woman I didn’t feel comfortable sleeping there on my own so I drive 45 minutes to a friends house to sleep.
It was very unfortunate that they allowed a party to take place there to begin with.
Safety: I did not feel safe at this inn with the particular situation I experienced. I will not be utilizing rooms that have exterior entrances any longer.

My husband and I stayed here for the first time. An absolutely loved it. We had a room with a balcony, on the second floor overlooking the water. We loved sitting out there, drinking our coffee and watching the river. The garden below is also very beautiful. The beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was great and the room was very clean. The front desk very helpful and friendly, both when checking in and checking out

All of the staff I've met have been so nice & friendly accept for the housekeeping manager. She watches the camera's in the office then runs to rooms to tell people what she thinks they're doing wrong. I spent over $300 for 2 nights in a pet friendly room... I didn't even get my cat into the room before she was on me saying cats aren't allowed. That "pet friendly rooms" are only for dogs. Ok fine I spent my night checking on my cat that had to stay in my van. Then today she knocks on my door again to tell me I'm not allowed to put things on the windowsill inside my room because it looks bad to other guests. Ummm... I put my purse & 3 store bags on the windowsill to deter my dog from putting her paws up there to look out the window. But apparently I'm not allowed to prevent damage.

This Inn was so clean and Michael was so friendly. I was so exhausted after the drive from San Francisco and I was so fortunate to have found it. Just what I needed after a long day. In the morning I was treated to a beautiful view of the river a few feet from my door. Their breakfast area was clean and family friendly with all the fixings. I would definitely stop here again. 5 Star ambience for a weary traveler.
