Horrible customer service & ridiculously inflated prices!!!!! Tried to price match and even though it was the same product, they started to bicker and be rude, no worries I can just go right up the street to Home Depot!!!!!

Patrick was very helpful both times I was there to shop for stringer lights.Easy returns too. The electric specialist was a bit grumpy though. Didn’t catch his name.

The customer service here is beyond excellent! All the staff from the cashiers to the power tool department were so friendly, attentive and professional it was a very nice change from the larger stores. The older gentleman in the lumber department helped me and my boyfriend with a coffee table project we were working on and it ended up looking great! He really knows his stuff. Another employee took the time to explain some different torches to us, and we appreciated it very much since we weren’t sure which product was the best option for our needs. Will return there soon for sure!

Purchased a heavy duty scissor (aviation snips) for cutting carpet padding, after being in the store for 20 minutes and being greeted by no one. I looked up the appropriate tool online (while in Mclendons) to make my purchasing decision. The snips worked so terribly that we quickly resorted to other tools to get the job done. When I went to return the snips, the woman behind the counter looked at me incredulously and told me that I couldn't return used merchandise. When she offered to have an associate help with another purchase, I modestly declined. After all, there's many other brick and mortar and online shops that guarantee their products and allow returns at a minimum. Plus these places have a much better selection. Won't be coming back here.

Service has gone downhill. I usually come here for one-off fasteners in bins. They haven't replenished the metric bins, and their supply is running out. Supply has been running out for the past year. There's also this guy who loves to tell you what he IS NOT going to do for you. Tonight, I showed up and was met at the door with a hand held out, signaling me to stop. He told me they were closed, and I would have to come back another day. When I returned to my car, my phone showed there were still a couple of minutes left before closing. I could have got what I needed. Instead, I went over to Home Depot. McLendon Hardware used to be great. However, many of the people have left and the attitudes have changed. I would rather be invisible to a Home Depot employee than treated poorly/unwelcome and talked down to by the McLendon Team. I think I am finally done with them. :(

McClendons hardware is a horrible store. You can never find anyone to help you. It takes them forever you stand in line for an hour and then when it's your turn, they take 50 other people and start other lines without grabbing you first they only have two people at cash registers and the customer service line is supposed to help out but it takes them 30 minutes per person. I will never go to McClendons hardware again. I will go to Home Depot every time.

Always amazing and attentive people that are willing to help and very knowledgeable. A very diverse hardware store where you can get anything you need on a quick in and out basis

I used to really like this McLendon Hardware store, but their service has been lackluster and even off-putting recently. When my husband was trying to buy some lumber at checkout, the older gentleman helping him looked like he was frustrated and treated my husband like he was wasting his time. I should say that I have had good experiences with other employees, which is why this isn’t a one star review. Also they don’t offer some of the services they list on the website. I tried to recycle some smoke detectors, which they say on their website they can recycle, and was told they weren’t able to help me. I called four other McLendon’s in the area, and none of them recycled smoke detectors either. I get that it’s a free service, but even the signs at the registers in the store list smoke detectors as something they can recycle. Corporate really needs update the list of their services if they’re not going to bother to offer them.

Love the convenient location. Parking lot is small but rarely too full. Can usually find what I'm looking for. Had an unfriendly experience recently. Was not greeted in a friendly manner or left feeling welcomed at all. Minimal conversation and snippy cashier. Bought some gorgeous flowers and they were on sale. Love to see frequent sales here. Was not offered any help to carry anything out. Next time will pick a different cashier as I know many wonderful people do work here. A gem of a store!

NORMALLY, and I always have in the past. However, I still want to rate McLendon's a 5...but I want to share something that happened. I am 57 years old and I am disappointed to say, cashier Christopher needs to learn to keep his belittling and condescending comments to himself. He is much to old to not know this. He embarrassed me to the point my cheeks turned hot and red.I will continue to shop at my favorite McLendon's in Woodinville, however I will avoid rude Christopher at all costs.

I've been going to McLendon for 28 years and have always been treated with respect. Employees are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Until today. I approached an employee at the register to ask if the register was open. His reply was, "Do I look open? The light isn't on. You've been here before. You should know". Since when are employees allowed to scold customers? Looks like McLendon is becoming Home Depot!

Been shopping at McLendon for over thirty years. Have made many a purchase without a hitch. Today there was a long line to check out because only one cashier was working. When I got in line there were easily 12 other customers waiting in front of me. Not a problem. I don’t mind the wait, there’s plenty to look at while standing in line. When my turn came, I placed my items on the counter and put my card in the reader. After tapping the circle I pulled my card out. Too soon! Error. Machine quit working. For the next 2 minutes, while the card reader rebooted, I was subjected to constant harassment from the clerk and made to feel that I was to blame for the line of people waiting behind me. I made an error. I caused a 2 minute delay. I felt humiliated after the constant reminders, “Don’t put your card in, don’t put your card in, I’ll show you how to use your card, don’t put your card in, don’t put your card in.” He told another employee, “ Customer pulled his card out too soon.” I jokingly said, “ You don’t need to tell on me.” His reply, “Too late, everyone in line already knows.” The comment was made in a rude fashion by someone who very obviously thinks he is error free.

The staff who work here know their stuff! Love how they hire people who know the departments they work in. They are always able to help me solve an issue or find an item.
