If you find a pet you might be interested in it will probably be gone. Having to get a appointment for a week later the chances are the pet you want is gone.

We adopted our little lady just under a month ago and we could not be any happier! Her name is now Juniper, or “Juni” for short (Lavender at adoption) and she is the sweetest addition to our family? homeward pet was so so amazing during the entire process and you can truly tell how much they really care for each individual animal. The staff was all so kind and helpful and the place was kept really clean for the animals! I would 1000% adopt through them again!
Below are some photos of our little lady and her new sister/bestie??

We adopted our little Momo from Homeward about a week ago, and she is just the sweetest, most well adjusted and friendly little cat that I have ever met. You can tell that the animals here are well taken care of and given plenty of care and attention, and are very used to the presence of people. Our vet said that Momo is in perfect condition and was amazed that she had settled into our home so quickly and was already making friends with the other pets.

It is a great place to adopt dogs and cats. Also a lot of fun as a volunteer.

Homeward Pet Adoption Center was amazing to work with! They are not only incredibly knowledgeable on their animals that come in, but they ensure time and space for you to make your choice. We came across a little black lab that we fell in love with! I called a few times on a non-adoption day and felt so strong about coming first thing the next day. They remembered us calling and had the pup ready to be seen. We sent a follow up email sharing some photos and they were so grateful. If you’re looking for a wonderful pet adoption center, this is your place!

I was blown away by Homeward! I’ve looked at other shelters before, but Homeward was the best experience I’ve had. The facilities are clean and the animals are obviously well taken care of! I scheduled an appointment, which was very easy to do online. When I went in, they were ready for me with a person there to help me through the entire process. They asked me what I was looking for in a cat, and showed me several available cats fitting what I was looking for. They let me take my time when interacting with each cat, and they really encouraged me to play with them, pick them up, and get to know each one to find the best fit for my home. The cats were obviously well socialized, taken great care of, and loved. I ended up with two sister kittens, and they are an absolute joy! They were also spayed (?), microchipped, and up to date on their vaccinations when I adopted them. The whole process took about an hour, but could’ve taken longer if I wanted more time (I appreciated that they didn’t rush me because I’ve been to places that try to get you in and out as quickly as possible). I’ve already recommended this place to someone else and will forever recommend this place to anyone looking to adopt.

Adopted two siblings, kittens. Everyone was so helpful during the process of choosing the right ones to add to our family of an older cat and a dog. Kittens are loving life in a family of 4

This place has been amazing, helping us get our cats spayed, helping find homes for kittens, and even helping with some medical care. I can't thank them enough. It got real overwhelming fast, and we just want what's best for these babies. If you're looking to adopt, this has to be a place you check out. If philanthropy is your thing, check out this place.

10 stars. When I went on a Friday there were only about 3 of us there to look/adopt. I didn't have an appointment but still didn't have to wait and I got my own shelter tour guide that told me about all the cats and showed me around. At first I didn't see one that I matched with and they told me no worries, I could come back in several days and there would be more. However, they had one more to show me that ended up being THE one. It was $75 to adopt a cat which I think is a GOOD thing and important to ensure a good home but then it came with a gift certificate for a free vet exam (worth about $60) and a $75 Mud Bay gift card to get some supplies so that was awesome. Of course the spay, vaccines, and microchip were all included.
Another good part is that Homeward Pet is a no-kill shelter. One way they receive animals is by taking them from the high-kill shelters in other parts of the state. If you do not find a pet you match with during your visit you don't have to feel bad or worry what will happen to the animals there because the only thing that can happen is that they will match with another adopter soon!

Welcoming, knowledgeable, friendly staff. They really do take the time to improve the odds of a good pet match. They take the time to ensure animals are in good health, and spayed or neutered before making them available for adoption. Their adoption fee was reasonable, and they also sell a variety of new and used, donated pet equipment as a means to raise money. They take unexpired food donations if you have pet food you’re able to share. Pet areas were exceptionally clean and hygienic. Volunteers help run the center, and foster pets to get them ready for adoption. This is a humane shelter and adoption center - their care and love for the animals in their protection is evident, and makes the world a better, kinder place.

Wonderful place to adopt your new cat or dog. Last year they spayed our dog and when she developed a hernia (which can sometimes happen) they took her back and corrected it free of charge. Can speak more highly of Homeward pet.

the wonderful staff at homeward pet adoption center helped introduce two new members to my family. I was not interested in adopting more than one cat, but when I met Leo and Luna (originally Brad and Britney), the kittens and Gabby helped me get over my initial reservations. Thank you so much for helping me heal from the loss of my elder cats earlier this year and bring home two wonderfully socialized kittens!!
