Been here 3 times recently, for different jobs. No issues mechanic-wise. Management-wise, the job always took a day or two longer than promised. The most recent time, they promised to replace the front axle within a day, dropped the car off at 9am, the manager called around 2pm to confirm everything will be done by the end of the day. When I called around 4pm to ask if its ready, I was told, that the new part hadn't arrived, the old part is already out of the car, so I will need to leave the car with them for two more days, while they are waiting for it...
// Replying to the owner below, it would have been less of an issue, if the issue was proactively communicated to me, not at the end of the day, when there's no time for me to correct but run back home to relieve my nanny.
Also, the part might have been overnighted, but I was only able to collect my car *two* days after drop off (dropped off on Tuesday, collected on Thursday).

We brought our 1963 Cadillac to Group 2 to have the interior completely redone. Melissa and the upholstery team worked with us to select the perfect fabric, trim, carpet, and stitching details. The car looks amazing! Thank you Group 2!

Worst experience I've ever had with a shop. They essentially totaled my car. They quoted me about $2600 for a timing chain replacement and four day turnaround time but charged me more than $4000 and took about three weeks. I asked them repeatedly if they were sure and if they were comfortable taking on the job. they said no problem and it was routine for them. After a week with no communication from them and having to constantly call to ask where my car was, John the owner called when they realized they were in over their head and said it would be two weeks because they ordered the wrong parts and it was a bigger job than they thought. He assured me he would not charge me more than what they quoted me. I went to pay and they charged me about almost double the quote and they made sure to hold onto my keys until I paid in full.Ill leave the laundry list of things they did wrong:Seated head gasket improperlyEither reused or improperly installed valve cover gasket (probably the internal gaskets as well) as it has a massive oil leakBroke intake boxBroke exhaust hangerReused broken mounts/bushingsLeft loose bolts/ screws in the engine bayPossible damaged oil filter housing gasket (can't 100% attribute this to them but most likely was them because there were no issues before)$200 alignment was off (despite taking it back twice before making it home for them to adjust it because it was pulling hard.) Their bad alignment ruined a brand new pair of tires because they didn't set the toe right.I could tell they just wanted to get my car out as fast as they could because they wanted their shop space back. They didn't even have the decency to clean off the grease they left all over the exterior and interior of my car. They even covered the service manual in grease. When I called to see if they could fix some of the parts they broke they said not unless I paid for them to fix it. Totally unprofessional and just an embarrassing way to operate a business.

They will fake missing parts to charge you more over time. They will try to keep your car in shop and refuse to let you try a different mechanic.

Polite and professional, they replaced the valve cover on my BMW in a reasonably priced and timely manner. They reached out afterwards to see if I was satisfied with their work, which was nice. I recommend reaching out to them and getting to know the folks there.

I would give these Group 2 Automotive 10 stars if I could. I have a Porsche Boxster Anniversary Limited Edition that is a "Garage Queen" from September to October. As I was tucking the car in for a winter rest, I noticed my Porsche Pro-Premium Battery Maintainer was not lighting up with all the typical lights. I purchased a a new battery charger for the car, and the lights weren't working on the new charger either. I realized it might be a blown fuse - but wasn't sure. On a Saturday, when things were hopping for them, I brought the car to Group 2 Automotive and they checked the Porsche charger which was working, then they checked the fuse - which was blown. I was using the cig lighter feature for charge maintainer and they told me there was a better way to charge the battery. It was making a pig tail wired to the battery that I can plug the charger into. Much better. They said they could just change for the fuse and I could return the new charged. But, I thought it might be good to replace the charger and do the battery piggy hook up. They said they could install it for about 1/2 hour labor. An amazing deal since they had already spent lots of time with me. They set to work, I took a walk and when I returned, they told me no charge, it would be gratis. Just bring my car back when it needs work. I will absolutely be bringing my Boxster to them for all its needs in the future. Also, I heard they are doing car consignments, so if I ever part with my Boxster, I'll be working with them. They were friendly, generous with their time, informative, shared a great upgrade idea, did great work and made me a permanent customer. I would highly recommend Group 2 Automotive. Renee
