Took my cat in because of possible fleas and acting “off base” they said he didn’t have fleas and was perfectly healthy. Got a second opinion from VCA and apparently he DOES have fleas and also a bladder infection which could’ve killed him. $1900 later and he’s good to go but thank God I didn’t listen to to paws claws and hooves otherwise he might have died!!!

As one of the very few vets that see chickens I was thrilled when they were able to get my hen in within a couple days. I had an 8am drop off time and unfortunately I woke up that morning with a migraine and sick as heck and ended up missing my drop off time. They were very kind and understanding and said if I could get her there by 10 or would be fine. I barely made it there, got her checked in and again they were very understanding when I filed out only the very basics on the paper work as I could barely see at that point. The vet tech(I think) was very nice when he came out to get my bird and explained to me how they handled appts like this and that they would call me with any questions, treatment plans or whatever else. He ended up calling me several times, explained to 2 possibilities the vet thought it could be and asked if I wanted X-rays, which were way more than I could afford. He was very understanding and a couple hours later they called to say I could pick her up and sent her home with an anti inflammatory for her leg. The stupid medicine cost almost as much as the actual vet fee. My mom had to pick her up as I was still really sick but there was no problem there. So now I have a $130 chicken that's about to be let out of confinement(strict crate rest for 2 weeks that turned into almost 4 weeks), doing so much better that she's laying eggs again. Overall a great experience here and I'm grateful for their patience and understanding especially considering it's the first time I've taken an animal there. I think any other vet would've cancelled my appt and billed me for not showing up on time.

We recently acquired Ferguson, who has Addison’s disease. The staff was wonderful in dealing with his extreme anxiety and even helped us get him groomed for the first time ever. Thank you so much!

Paws, Claws, and Hooves helped me during one of the most difficult moments in my life. In February 2021 my 11 year old Border Collie had a leg injury, and our regular family vet couldn't accommodate us. I was met with so much disappointment after calling around to get him an appointment. When I called Paws, Claws, and Hooves told me to bring him down, and they would squeeze him in. Sadly, my sweet boy was in very bad shape, and his future quality of life did not look good. Euthanasia was the best option for the condition he was in. The staff and the attending Veterinarian were wonderfully compassionate and understanding. They led us to a cozy room to spend time with him and say our goodbyes. They encouraged us to take our time before and after the procedure. They made me a beautiful ornament with his paw print as a keepsake.
After this experience, I decided this is where I wanted all of my pets health care to be attended to.

You know it's hard to find yourself a doctor and then trying to find one for your fur baby is just as hard. I have to say, I was very pleased with Paws, Claws, and I Hooves. They made us feel right at home when we walked in. There was a larger dog in there, not friendly at all and they made sure Jack was safe and made him feel comfortable. The vet we talked with was so nice and attentive to Jack, answered our questions and that meant alot. You can tell that they are there for your pets! Thank you!

Very helpful personnel. And they will work you in if your pet has a serious issue unlike so many now that just tell you they are at least 3 weeks out on scheduling and advise you to go to the pet emergency centers.

Used to go to them a lot and never had any problems but just this weekend we took my dog cause she wasn't feeling well or acting like her normal self and they diagnosed her with a uti. We had to take her back yesterday due to her not getting better but worse she couldn't hold her balance when she was waking she would fall or lean to one side we told them all this they said it was marijuana poisoning even though we told them it's in part of the house she doesn't have access to and this had been going on for a couple days not just 1 day which is when marijuana wears off for dogs but they where very dismissive they didn't want to listen to me and my family's reasoning for not thinking it that's or the fact she didn't have access to that and insisted it was weed, she never got better after they sent her home and said she would so we took her to another vet and turns out it's not weed but a spinal issue with her disks in her back that if not treated could have caused her to be paralyzed in her back legs.I understand mistakes happen and misdiagnoses too but I just have never had someone be so dismissive of someone telling them there dogs symptoms!
