In the last 2-3 years I have tried to give this shop my business multiple times and every time I go in they never have my size. It's not like I have an odd size boot....12...but they never have them. Twice, I have been told the boot on display is the only size they have. If that's the case, why even put it out on the shelf? When they say they can order a boot for me....it is often weeks out. I can order from Amazon or direct for the manufacturer and have the boot in less than a week.For the most part they have always been friendly and offered good customer service. Just a couple days ago though....it was the most awkward, rude customer service I have received. To say I am disappointed would be an understatement. I love keeping my money local, but this shop makes it easy to buy from amazon or other online distributers.For the record...this shop has gotten my business for the last 15 years. It's just been the last 2-3 years it has gone down hill.I'm not sure how to PM you. It was Wed I believe...and I was looking at buying a kenetrek boot. When the gal went to look for it, she returned to say it was the only one they had in stock (Size 9 or 10, I forget). She then said something along the lines of....not worth ordering being we don't have one for you to try on....then just walked off. Didn't really have a chance to say anything. It was very weird and both me and my wife thought it was rude / awkward. Never tried to sell me another boot...discuss other options....nothing.....just walked off. We left. People behind the counter were cordial saying hello and goodbye.

Went above and beyond and fixed a zipper on my mountaineering boot on the spot. No wait. Really outstanding customer service!!!

Loved the service we received when we needed new shoes. They also do repairs here, so select shoes you buy can be repaired for a fraction of buying a new pair. Good selection of Birkenstocks despite the pandemic slowing down production!
