I don’t wear shoes. Never have. I’ve lived in the jungle all my life. But I came out of the jungle to get a cup of coffee around the corner from the shoe shop. They wouldn’t let me in the coffee shop. They sent me across the street to the shoe shop and I beg for a cup of coffee. Josh hooked me up with a pair of my first sandals. My feet have never felt so good. I don’t get sticks going through the bottom of my soul. If I were to continue to wear shoes, this would be the only place I would ever shop. Thank you American shoe shop. I love you.

Solid and friendly. They only had one pair of shoes in the entire store in my size, and no pants, but they cheerfully sent me to a competitor for the pants.

Not a lot of options in this town for quality children's shoes and although their selection is also limited, they had a few awesome, high quality brands that fit what we needed. Come here for all your outdoor hiking needs. The staff is friendly and they were all helpful.

I brought a pair of shoes from John Fluevog in Seattle Washington. The shoes cost close to 500.00. They are 399.00 plus tax (450.00). I was returning from Alabama to Seattle and the sole came off the back of the shoe on the air plane. I was glad that my flight was back in Seattle, but to my surprise…the store (John Fluevog) where I brought the shoes would not help me. I’ve only had the shoes for less than 2 months. I was told to take the shoes to a shoe repair shop.I was terribly disappointed. I spoke to a friend who told me to take my shoe to THE AMERICAN SHOE SHOP in Wenatchee, Washington. I did and my shoes look better than before.I am SO Pleased with my shoe repair service. The owner and the staff are extremely helpful and very pleasant. I would definitely recommend the American Shoe Shop. They also have very nice shoes in their store as well.Thank you,Dr. Wanda Hicks

Josh Tarr and his employees have always been "top notch" anytime I have paid the shop a visit. I buy all my Danner boots from them and also have my footwear resoled. I've never had a negative experience and have given them my business for 22+ years.

Amazing shop with great people! Skip ordering this stuff online guys, Go in and try the stuff on, support local. You’ll be very happy you did.I had the guys here special order some Birkenstock boots for my wife for Christmas and they ended up being a little tight (my fault). Went in and they swapped them out right away, threw in some leather conditioner, and told me if she still isn’t happy with the fit to come back in and we’ll figure it out. Won’t go anywhere else! Love having local shops like this!

My husband has medical conditions that make shoe purchases difficult (they need to fit an orthopedic insert) and work requirements that limit his options further. I talked him into checking out the selection at American Shoe Shop and I'm SO very glad we did! They had the model and brand recommended by his pediatrist, in his size, no waiting. YES, they were spendy, BUT, we got exactly what we came for and the helpful, knowledgeable, personable man that helped us, Andrew, knew exactly what we needed and how to help. AND he said we can come in for repairs so I feel we'll save money over time. It's an iconic, beloved Wenatchee shop for a reason. It's gorgeously decorated, great selection, and well-staffed. I highly recommend this store.

I had a pair of beat up hiking boots worked on/repaired, I am very impressed with the great quality of craftsmanship. The price for this service was a very reasonable, I will bring future boots to this shop for work/repair. Thank you for the help.

This store has the BEST customer service I have ever received in my life. The first time I ever went there I wanted to try on a few pairs of Birkenstocks, and the shop owner immediately helped me and my other two friends find exactly what we wanted. It felt like REAL customer service (and not the salesy or fake kind.) He even personally sized the shoes while we tried them on to help us get a perfect fit. The second time I went in, I went to get another pair of the exact same Birkenstocks I bought the first time. I wore my old ones into the store to show them exactly what I wanted. As soon as I told the man at the counter what I was looking for, he could tell what size of the shoes I had JUST by looking at them on my feet! I can’t say enough good things about this place! Buy your shoes here!!!!!
