They could use better management. Maybe people who actually communicate. Not someone who decides that responding is just not necessary when you were working on renting from them.

I would never recommend living or moving into Rockwood Terrace Apartments I've been here for about 8 years my dishwasher is broken and I've been trying to get them to fix for 2 years they charge you way too much for rent considering you have to pay for your laundry which is expensive also the management has no skills to be dealing with any people they're rude they don't maintain the property correctly my toilets leaking for the 5th time in a year and they seem to raise your rent every couple of months this is supposed to be low income housing yet they're charging around $1,200 to most people if I could afford to move I would leave this slum ASAP.

It's nice being remodeled. Not much for parking. Play ground is small and outdated. Pets are allowed but there's no place to walk them and 2 bed appointments shouldn't have 6 people living there with 3 kids. Looks like management is lazy.

I only have friends that live here and there are borderline Rowdy I guess but they're young the apartment seemed tended to doesn't seem to have any maintenance issues I don't know what the rent is I don't know how long they've lived there but it seems like a decent place to live doesn't seem like there's any crime or heavy problems everything seems like it's got its place

I've been here for 4 years. Even through management turn over, and management company switch. Things to remember... management and maintainence are not residents. No 24 hour emergency with fast response. This is considered a low income property. With that some things are not priority (like top of the line appliances). The management team is doing their best to upgrade the property a little at a time, but it takes cooperation from tenants and funding to do so. If you truly have had a bad experience, did you inform management before placing it on social media, and if so was it addressed or not.I believe this is a nice place to live. I have not had any issues that could not be taken care of by management in realistic timelines. Granted none of my major appliances have died, and no plumbing emergencies either, but that is not to say that this team won't do their best to keep their tenants cared for.Recently the rent has gone up across the entire property, removing the tenure status for some residents. This allowed our management team to adress the roof and gutters, crawl spaces and structural integrity of these older buildings and make repairs. Remember you get what you pay for.I hope you will consider this place when looking for housing. It has served myself and my daughter, and now my husband well.

Rockwood Terrace Apartments now have a manager and maintenance team that care. My mother lives there and loves it. On any given day you will see the manager and maintenance walking around the property picking up trash as well fixing damage or broken items last week the manager was power washing the garbage areas how many people can say their manager actually leaves the office to get their hands dirty not many including my manager while the maintenance guy was walking around the property replacing screens on the window. They have also enforced parking which makes the property look a lot cleaner yes it sucks I have to park on the street to visit my mom but hey the parking should be made open to resident who live there.. My only suggestion would be to make sure the office has a bathroom. I see the manager walking to the gas station to use the bathroom quite a few times a day and today its raining hard and she soaked :-)

I wrote a review already but somehow it has dissapeared. Rockwood terrace apartments are old and worn down, with many many years of neglect and a quick fix. This place has made my children and I very sick. It recently failed the in home air quality test showing high moisture. But due to being poor I have no choice but to live in it. The really sad part is there are many places like this and while these people who own them sit back and collect money from people or the government in my case, they don't pay taxes, they dont do up grades; so where does $58.000 a month go to? Wonder what HUD would do if they saw really what there money goes to and how these places are really taken care of. I have done all I can to get this fixed so..... know I'm writing the local newspaper and talking to the city council as well as writing the attorney general & our Governor; because you see I may be poor, and not have the money to afford an attorney, but I do have a voice and I'm going to be heard.

This is the worst place in the world I have ever lived. They allow elderly tenants to walk into other units unannounced break things and don't do anything about it the police have been notified there is a case going and yet she still comes into my apartment frequently. Nothing is being done about it and nothing has been done about it and now I'm very angry. My laptop has been broken and to whose expense but my own because the management in this apartment complex refuses to do anything about it. I would love for somebody at the corporate level to call me and discussed this.

Rockwood Terrace was purchased in November 2018, and taken over by Guardian Real Estate. The company is committed to changing the errors of the past management and making Rockwood Terrace a nice place to live. Please overlook the past reviews and give the apartments a chance.

I have lived here for 6 years and can honestly say in the last couple months summer and mike (gardian staff) have really been turning the place around with updated appliances. Also I had issues with my unit that had gone unfixed for th majority of my residency here and summer and mike took care of them right away!

I have lived here for four years and I would not recommend ever living here if u have any where else to live. A tent would be better on the side of the road. Lisa Merchant, The manager here does NOT follow any of the rules. She will lie about anything she has to to get u to move in here and give her your money. Nothing ever gets repaired here. I had a broken water heater for six months before it maintenance spent another six weeks telling me he had ordered it. By the time it was installed correctly it had been more like eight months. When he finally brought me one that worked it was larger then the one i had so he moved it from the kitchen into the hall closet. He left two holes in the hall wall and a great big hole in my kitchen that to this day has still not been repaired. Lisa Merchant also does six month checks on the apts and writes down all the issue but they are never dealt w. Have had a fan above my stove that has no working fan on it and has not had one in the four years i have lived here. Lisa is very often not available or in the office and she answers calls only from ppl she wants to talk to. There are a dozen or more ppl living here that do crack or meth or similar other drugs that she will not deal w. Parking is a mess and no matter what Lisa Merchant promises u, there will always be someone parked in your parking space and she wont do anything about it. Basically the words SLUM LORD come to mind when discussing the landlord here. If u are planning on moving try anywhere else but here first!!!! This is one of the worst apt complexes I have ever lived in. Oh, and i forgot to mention all the THEFT that goes on here and the frequent visits from the POLICE, as they are always here looking for one druggy or another.

I have spent a long time looking for a place to live, I've toured multiple places that were price ranged from 1130 and up and this place was an absolute miracle to find, the manager was very helpful in making it possible for us and she renovates her units when people move instead of kicking everyone out and renovating all at once. After looking at places from 1130 I'm glad to find a place in such a good location for 885 a 2 bedroom! If your low income under $40000 a year I would definitely consider this place.
