I called them with a simple question if they can remove a broken stainless steel bolt from my power trim unit. They did not understand what I was asking and started inquiring about what boat and what engine etc. I told her, it does not matter, I'll just bring a trim unit and need broken bolt removed. Useless...

My son & I have been using Riverside Marine Services for about 5 years or so and they have been great to use. They are always friendly, and communicate well with us on any issues that need to get done besides the basic Winterizing & Summerizing. I like the fact they are a family operation and are always there to help us with any boat related questions. They are quick & efficient, friendly and fair pricing. I took my boat there to get my gear lube checked because it was leaking, boat was fine just leaking lube, Walt the owner apparently found other problems which weren’t there, not to mention he had my boat for over two months. Everything negative I read about this place is true. I was quoted over 10k for a minor replacement. They see money as soon as you walk in the door.Services: General repairs & maintenance

Horrible experience, I'm pretty mechanically inclined, so when the owner kept referencing the wrong parts for my boat I was suspicious. He then took an entire month to write up an estimate. He the came to me with an estimate for over 10k. I was shocked. I came in with a simple repair then was quoted an astonishing amount, not only was he wrong in the diagnosis, he added a lot of other part that he said were back ordered and couldn't get them. I ordered those same parts on Amazon that are OEM parts for a quarter of the price and then. Walt the owner got upset because I did that and became combative when talking to him. He then took his time for another month and has done nothing. My boat is now in pieces getting parts replaced that don't need to be. I tend not to listen to reviews because most reviews are when companies do a horrible job. I know one thing, that is not how you operate a company, that man needs to retire and hand the business to someone who knows what they're doing. Also his reasoning for not getting me a quote sooner was because his email was down. Really! That's why!? Everyone has an email, my unborn child has an email. What are we doing.

Unprofessional, incompetent, argumentative....We brought our boat to Riverside Marine Services and left our keys in the ignition. We advised the manager and staff that our keys were in the ignition. When we picked up our boat and asked for our keys, we were told that we never left our keys. Even though they were able to describe our keys in detail and they went back into their facility to look for them, they ended up claiming that we never left them with our boat. When we asked why no one contacted us about "no keys," we were told "it would take too much time." We tried to talk to them about our issue and we were constantly interrupted. When we asked why we were being interrupted - we were told that "there's no point in talking to you." My husband tried to talk to her and was interrupted continuously up to the point that she hung up on us. Very rude, unprofessional, incompetent, and argumentative. HIGHLY encourage others to stay away!!!!!Service: Water pump service

WoW. 0 communication, It is taking forever to Fix the boat. He doesnt check that he has all the parts he needs to Fix the boat .he waits until last minute and The he realized something is missing. They dont inclide the price/hour or how many hours for labour. I cant wait for this nightmare to end . Please, stay away! We got carged for more than 6000$ for labour and he hasnt even fixed what he was supposed to Fix . Claustrophobic!

I took my 9.9 outboard do you have the water pump changed out. It was functioning OK but every two or three years I have it changed just so I don’t have problems on the river.The cost and the time to repair was outrageous. At the end of the day the cost was over $700 and it took practically a month. Other locations would’ve charged me no more than $150-$200 to do the same work. I do not recommend that you take anything to this location

I'm a newcomer to power boating and just purchased an older boat with a Mercruiser Alpha One Gen One sterndrive. I like to do my own maintenance and, even though my visits surely cost him money, Walt has gone out of his way to help me find what I need. His encyclopedic knowledge of Mercruisers matches nicely with my beginner's understanding of boat motors and outdrives. Better yet, he's had the parts I came looking for in stock and at good prices.

They will take forever to fix your boat and when you call to ask questions they act like you are puting them out by asking. If they say it takes a month it will take 3. They say they will have someone call you back "walt the owner" he wont call back unless he needs more money or you go down and stand in front of him.I beleve they dont want to work on boats just store them, all said and done repairs turned out good in the end. Just a long frustrating costly process
