State ruins everything. Parking is extremely limited now due to the state tyrants and how they want to continually restrict access to great things. The barricades will keep you from parking at the lookout now. You'll own nothing, you'll see nothing, and you'll be happy. That's their motto.

Nothing like an early morning photo shoot unexpected on the way back from the festivities in vancouver. Nice and quiet on the road this morning and I got the opportunity to take some really pretty pictures if you get the chance go for it get up a little earlier even if you have to take a nap later. Well worth a little bit of pattern change

Gorgeous lookout with awesome views of the Columbia River Gorge! We stop occasionally for a few great pics, but it can get extremely crowded. Currently, there are a long row of cement jersey barriers taking up most of the parking area. Only room for 1-2 cars, safely. It's not the best area for u-turns, so plan accordingly. There's quite a bit of graffiti on the stone wall lookout...so sad. Regardless, I would highly recommend a stop for the gorgeous view!

From looking at the guardrail, it appears there was something of an accident here recently. Be careful: there is VERY limited parking near the bridge, almost none on the eastbound side. Any parking room on the westbound side of SR-14 is very close to the lane of traffic. There is a long stretch of jersey barrier blocking off the usual area where folks pull off to take photos.

Love love love this view it never gets old! It is a must-stop if you're driving East on Hwy 14, but be careful because it's just a small pull-off on the side of the road. If you pass it, there's a road on the left 1.5 miles away where you can turn around. Most people just stop for a quick picture and then move on because there's not really anywhere to stay to enjoy the view unless you're the only one there. As for the sign and the area, it could definitely use a cleaning. As fascinating as it has been to see the evolution of graffiti over the years, it is annoying and sends the message that we don't care about nature or have standards.

Nice little overlook on the side of SR14. It's right next to the road so keep an eye on your children.

Pictures do not do justice to this jaw dropping view of the Columbia River Gorge.Dangerous parking ~ you must be driving eastbound to carefully stop off of the side of the highway shoulder. Depending on whoever is already there, maybe a 4 car line is available. Slow down well ahead not to suddenly startle the high traffic tailing you from behind. Driver-side look in your rear and side mirror before you open your door into the highway! The view at one of the highest peaks of the Gorge looking eastward. Hold onto your phone because it is a sheer dropoff looking over the railing. Absolutely beautiful.

Gorgeous view of the Columbia River Gorge! This is a very nice spot to stop by and just appreciate the beautiful scenery. Parking is available off the side of the road but it looks like it can get limited and it might get a little bit challenging if you're going West in the highway. Definitely a must-stop overlook!

A nice overlook to enjoy a beautiful view of Columbia River Gorge. It was very windy on the day of my visit.

Currently a great out and back hike. After falcon breeding season completes its an easier loop trail. The snow has melted with only a few slushy paths left. There are at least five very nice overlooks in which to view the Columbia River. You are basically on the opposite side of the river from the more popular waterfalls, Multnomah and Bridal Veil, which most folks overcrowd in the summer. The sun is very nice on this side of the river but as with most of the Gorge, the wind is steady and strong. The initial climb uphill is the most challenging switchback section. The views around the power line cut are nice but surprisingly, there are no views of Mt St Helens or Mt Hood. Hwy 14 is busy but nothing like the interstate on the Oregon side of the River. Enjoy this high trafficked trail during midweek if you have an option.

One of Hwy 14s Iconic PNW overlooks as you enter the Columbia River Gorge!!All Seasons, W-S-S-F.ALL provide a breathtaking views and for myself Daydreams of the Lewis and Clark's expedition into the Unknown enroute on their search for the Mighty Columbia's headwaters into the Pacific. AWESOME!!

Incredible view but not a large spot so can fill quickly, especially on weekends.
