People are not lying when they say this is the most expensive record store in the world. They have a section of thrift-type records for $19.99 each. Led Zeppelin IV is $99, which is a pretty common record. A Roxy Music record was $99. I'm truely baffled. You are better off going shopping at the Country antique mall (which is overpriced as well, but not as crazy as Hot Poop). I'm really not sure why anyone would want to buy a record in here.

Mike McGuinn is an Epic Man, and his store reflects it!! Still to this day, that man had had the best storefront and brick and mortar in the whole town. There isn't anything this guy doesn't have! Heck, just last week, I called and said, "By any chance, do u have Harmonicas?" and BoyHowdy did they ever! A lot, in fact! And my mother just bought a guitar a few years back and she loves it!Thank you, Mike McGuinn!!! You are a True Staple of our Beautiful Community and will Forever be a part of our rich History and our bright Future!!

When you come, stroll the streets of Wallwalla, take a sip at one of the many wine shops, stop into a boutiques, but above all, don't forget to browse the best music store in the PNW -Hot Poop. If they don't have it or can't get it, no one can. The people there are a delight.

OVERPRICED yet worth a browse. Simply to visit Washington’s oldest record store, and be flabbergasted by the prices. To a point where it’s actually funny. And that name… I just love to hate it! What an oddity. This pricing is really hard to comprehended. Everything.. from mass produced thrift store commons, to current pressings available thru Amazon / Target.. 3x more expensive here. Nothing special, not limited edition, imported, ect. anything whatsoever. What’s the justification? You have a monopoly as the only record store south of Tri-Cities, so gouge the prices? Out of touch, ignoring Internet and market value? The economy really that bad?The signed and personalized memorabilia on display is cool. Convenient walking distance downtown location. The folks are really nice, but I literally can’t afford to support their business. I went twice in a 3 month span - most records and CDs I picked out were in the same spot, untouched. Some highly desirable modern music that would normally sell no problem. Who’s shopping here, only people buying guitars in the back? I was, however, able to purchase Hot Poop magnets & stickers with local art, because, shockingly..! they were less than five dollars.Sometimes I like a cluttered record store, it adds to the thrill of the hunt. But not when hunting for a “deal” in fool’s gold.

I love local businesses and will support them as much as I can. This place however will be a one and done for me unfortunately. I wanted to like this place, I really did. Inventory is amazing. Music/Movies/Custom Guitars. This place has amazing stuff! 2 stars for that. Unfortunately, their prices are shockingly high.If this were just a record store it would be a 1 star review. They don't have a 'used' section. It's called 'vintage' and is no cheaper than the new records which are also over-priced. For example, I found a used Eagles album for $45 that I paid $5 for in Portland (and it works perfectly). I guess when you are the only show in town, you can charge whatever you want. Unfortunately, I left empty handed as I couldn't justify the prices.I'm really glad they are well liked though and I hope they continue to stay in business.

The best. A MUST VISIT place if you are new to Walla Walla, and if you're from here, you already know what a treasure this place is.

Stopped in here while visiting. EVERYTHING is overpriced. I found a used Frank Zappa CD I had been looking for $56.00!!!??? I thought it may have just been a fluke so I looked at some others, nope, everything there was about 400% above market value. Neat T-shirts, stickers, and novelties, but I wouldn't shop for music there.

Nostalgia galore. The store definitely brings back memories of days long past. While I didn't purchase anything, the flashbacks were fantastic.
