Wanapum State Park Campground is a beautiful and immaculate park. The property is clean and well-kept, with great showers and clean restrooms cleaned daily. The staff is amazing and helpful. The campground offers beautiful views across the Columbia River at the glacier striated bluffs. It provides easy beach access and is located along the Palouse to Cascades Trail. Amenities include free showers with hot water and free 240v plugs for electric vehicles. The area can get very hot in the summer morning with not much shade. While often very windy, it can sometimes be quiet. There is not a whole lot to do in the park except for boating or kayaking. Resident geese add to the experience. It is a great place for camping.
