I went into the shop wanting to try on a certain brand of shoe I had heard people rave about. I was helped by Jason. I told him what was going on with my feet and the type of arch support I was looking for. He was VERY kind and VERY patient with me. He not only brought out multiple pairs for me to try on, but asked if he could make some suggestions of another brand. I am SO happy he did- the shoes he recommended were PERFECT! Thank you so much for your help, Jason!! You are AWESOME!

Saleswoman was incredibly rude to my senior citizen father. He went in to purchase some new shoes. He mentioned the heaviness of the shoe he was looking at and the saleswoman went out of her way to embarrass him by telling him that he should get a child's shoe if the shoe is too heavy. He suffers from nerve damage due to his military service and a significant car accident and has trouble lifting his feet.This was incredibly embarrassing for him and completely improper for the saleswoman to do.My family has purchased several pairs from the Other Shoe Fits store, but will never again step foot again in the store.Unfortunately I didn't catch the name of the saleswoman.

I stumbled upon "When the Shoe Fits" out of sheer happenstance. Even though I'd driven past here a hundred times, I somehow never noticed it. I stopped in in hopes of purchasing a pair of Books Glycerin 20s, but they didn't have them. I was immediately greeted as soon as I entered, and the knowledgeable employee knew their inventory well enough to know that they didn't have what I wanted when I asked. She wisely advised that if I've worn those with favorable results, it is probably best to stick with them, and offered to order them for me. Since I needed them sooner than they'd arrive, I opted not to order them. The store is clean, well-stocked, and has a great selection. Prices are very reasonable, and are on par with all others that I've shopped. There is also plenty of parking. I'm looking forward to my next visit if I decide to try a different shoe.

I tried this store, 5+ years ago. I had first gone to a well known "specialty shoe" place but I found them to be way to expensive and high pressure sales. While they are more than the "regular" shoes, they are about 50% less than the other place and no sales pressure. I have foot pain, nerve pain, foot surgery and could not find shoes that actually helped. I even found a pair of beautiful heels that were comfortable. My shoes typically last me about 2 years so the cost is worth it. Cannot imagine going anywhere else for runners, sandals, boots, etc.

This was my first time in this store and I was so impressed with the excellent service I had with Tom at When the Shoe Fits. He was so knowledgeable about their products and really listened about my issues as well. I will definitely recommend the store. I came in late to the store on a Tuesday night and Mark helped me out while helping another interested shoe buyer as well. This was my first time into a "When The Shoe Fits" store and I was expecting to get an new pair of Dansko's. I met Mark and he helped change the pain in my feet for the better, hopefully for the rest of my life! He showed me a different shoe that was very similar to my Dansko in looks, but not in width for my toes and the arch support was immensely better. I could tell immediately that I had been wearing the wrong shoe, as Mark had been explaining all throughout the process of getting me my correct size, of course after professionally sizing my feet, and viola, perfect fit. I felt like Cinderella at the Ball the next day at work! Being up on my feet most of that day was no problem, and no blisters! I absolutely love this store and am so grateful for all the attention Mark gave to me and the knowledge that he has for all of us out here who need people like him! Mark was a fantastic shoe guide and immediately diagnosed my walking pattern on entering the store! He listened to all of my foot issues and found three great options to choose from. We also got sandals for our upcoming trip. Will definitely be coming here for any of our future shoe needs!

Went in on the search of good shoes/insoles after going to about 15 stores the last week and spotted this place. Mark was amazing, very friendly, knowledgeable and didn’t make us feel pressured at all. Walked away with a new pair of shoes and insoles. Very satisfied customers and will be back. Thanks Mark!

I have a lot of issues, but they never make me feel bad and give great service.I have almost always been very satisfied with shoes from here but even when they didn't work after a few days they took them back with understanding

We visited Vancouver in July on a business trip and realized we hadn't packed any outdoor shoes for our long weekend of fun after the conference. We found the perfect shoes here. The selection was great. AND we can't brag enough about the service! Mark helped us find just the right shoes with the perfect fit and even gave us some local recommendations for dinner and exploring the area (...we loved Camas, Mark)! Such a great store! Even if you are visiting Portland you should cross the river for the selection and service here. The best!

Great experience at this store. I was recommended by a healthcare provider. Though not cheap, they sell high quality shoes and insoles with service. I took my time and verified in the store without any sales pressure. They have carpet and concrete to walk on. I highly recommend this place.

My 9 year old son had his first experience with When the Shoe Fits Grand Central and couldn't have been happier! He says, "It was fast! The employee was awesome. He could quickly find the shoe that matched my taste. They treated me with good customer service. The shoes I left with fit like a glove and gave me the extra arch support I never knew I needed! Even when another gentleman came in, he was able to serve him quickly and get back to us so we could get on with our day. Also, it felt like a mom & pop shop, not a big chain. Can't recommend it enough! ?"
