“Had such a great time! The staff were incredibly helpful and so kind. The throwing was super fun and straightforward, even with a tweaked shoulder I was still able to have a good time. Would highly recommend as a fun family activity for all ages.”

“I can't say enough good things about Studio 4 and the crew there. I'm new to pole and tried it for fitness and as an exercise in body confidence and I couldn't be more pleased with my experience. All the instructors are so supportive and body positive, I see women in class of all different ages, shapes, sizes, creeds and abilities and I feel the instructors make everyone feel safe and welcome. I honestly didn't think pole would be for me, but I love it so much and I feel stronger and more beautiful at 45 than I think I ever have before! Big props to Studio 4 for creating such a safe welcoming space.”

“So, I am one of those parents who "doesn't leave."  Yep, if my kid is there, I usually am too.  But, the result is I actually see what is going on at the studio (usually four to five times a week).  Here's what I can tell you:

There are levels.  If your child wants to stay in what they call "Fundamentals" that's wonderful, but you should know that it is a competitive dance school.  That means that while they do have Showcases twice a year for those Fundamental dancers, there are also higher level competing dancers at the studio as well.  Dancers can be invited to audition for one of the Company teams during evaluations.  If your child is on the team, they will be pushed as a dancer and will have a commitment for one year.  As with any other sports team, if you are competing, then the coaches will try to pull the best from the athlete.  As a parent I hope for two things from what our kids are involved in.  The first is that it brings out their best.  And the second is that it presents what we call "parenting opportunities."  Any activity that pushes a child presents opportunities to help them grow (up).

You get what you pay for.  Our kids are also doing other activities and I can tell you that the structure is the same and the price works out when you divide out the number of hours with the hourly cost.  Also, with Krav there are "testing fees" and equipment, and and and...  Let's face it, right now life is costly.  The higher the level, the higher the cost--and competitive dancing (if that's what is right for your dancer and your family) is expensive.  Go into it aware of that and prepared and it won't frustrate you.

I have never met a kinder and more capable staff.  Truly.

Has there been bullying?  I would imagine, yes.  Kids are occasionally children and like all of us--painfully human.  But, the MINOR situations I have been aware of the staff have dealt with it directly, immediately, and appropriately, and have used it as a teaching opportunity.

The school is incredibly diverse.  While my daughter wanted to dance at Groove Nation (initially) because she said it just "felt right" compared to the other schools we looked at, I liked it in part because there's so much diversity at the school.  Sadly, the PNW is not as culturally diverse as where I was raised and I wanted my child to be around people who look different from her, and act different from her.  She never saw the differences, and now because of this experience I don't think she ever will.  This is not a cookie-cutter school and I love that.

The owners, and coaches, legitimately care about the students.

The feel of the studio, if you stick around long enough, is one of comradery and encouragement.  I was part of the competitive dance world when I was younger, and I can tell you that I've never seen a dance group as supportive of one another as these dancers are.

We have now been at Groove Nation for years and I couldn't speak more highly of the owners, staff, coaches, or dancers.”

“We rented out this place for a 26 year olds birthday. We did the evening 8:30-10:30 and it was GREAT to have the entire place to ourselves. The owners are lovely and highly responsive, they provide plates, forks, table cloths, it was fantastic. Even for adults we had a ton of fun, and it was great to be able to not have kids around us the entire time.In the 2 hours we got 5 games of laser tag, and messed around in the mini golf area for 15-20 minutes (everyone did random holes for fun basically). This place is great!”

“I am a Marriott titanium member, but Lorraine at the front desk made me feel that I received a better service than at Marriott hotels. I had an issue with the delivery of an important package from overseas, and Lorraine genuinely tried to help me in any way as if it was her own package. Also, after I checked out, I got a call from Lorraine letting me know that I left a pair of socks in the room, which she could mail it to me. What a great service! The room was clean and the location was perfect as well. I am now an IHG member!”

“We tried gymnastics for my older daughter and it just wasn't the best fit right now. I'm so glad we heard about little kickers!! My 2 and 4 yr old girls look forward to soccer day all week and their coaches are so fun and engaged with all of the kids on the team. They're learning to listen and build soccer skills while having a blast. We love little kickers ❤️”

“I've had my Lineman staying in this hotel for a few days because there is a winter storm going on and there are lots of power outages. We have been getting on average of 20 rooms a day, one day at a time (just the way it has to go in this business). I have crews staying in hotels all throughout Southern Washington and Northern Oregon and let me tell you, this has been one of the best hotels to deal with. HANDS DOWN. I have had several of my guys reachout and tell me they really like the hotel, which says a lot because I usually get complaints about places from them, not compliments, haha. As for the logistics side of the house, they have been nothing but accommodating. It can be a bit of a pain to book rooms for us because we use a company card, so I have to fill out credit card auth forms and such, but this hotel has made it SO easy. The staff have been so communicative, patient, and understanding. I'm last minute booking 20 hotel rooms everyday and they never complain or seem frustrated. Our company will for sure be using them again!!”

“It's a fun little course, 12 holes. Also has a few other activities on site that look fun. The mini golf could use more holes! We drove an hour to check it out, unfortunately not worth the drive to visit again, not unless I get a hankering for some axe throwing at least XD”

“We had a ton of fun here! Son loved the ball cannons and slides and tunnels to climb through. It’s got a smaller area for littles who need a slower pace as well, and a little snack shack for kids/adults.”
