About a year ago I bought a 2001 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab pickup--actually wanted to wait before I wrote a review. It was very clean, and had relatively low mileage (about 61k). George was the salesperson. He was friendly, courteous, and also fairly no nonsense about the deal--and I don't mean that in a bad way at all. We negotiated a bit, and I probably paid a little more than it was worth, but nobody twisted my arm, and the pick up was in very good condition.
Within a week after I purchased it the power steering pump was leaking and registering a fault code (I can't remember what it was). They told me to bring it in, but the next day when I went to start it, the truck was completely dead. I had it towed to them. Turns out the CPU (or whatever is the brains/module) was fried--nothing anyone really could've predicted. They fixed the power steering pump and CPU at no charge. So, they stand behind their inventory and care about customer satisfaction. They seemed like stand up guys to me.
I read a few reviews where people said they were rude, or asked about their income before being allowed to test drive, or thought they didn't get a good deal. I never had any issue with having an opportunity to test drive any of their vehicles, but it very well may have to do with the way you present yourself. I probably went back 3 or 4 times and they were accommodating each time. This is a business; they are there to make a profit and you can't begrudge them that. Do your homework and if you're unhappy with a proposed deal, you can always walk away.
I would shop here again.
UPDATED FOR 2024: I wrote the original review in 2018, for a 2001 Dodge Dakota I had purchased a year earlier. Still have the truck; still works great. I get compliments on it (when I wash it). George, who sold me the truck, is retired but I've been back a few times to look for other cars for my kids. They still carry quality vehicles, are no-nonsense (I mean that in a good way), and professional. Right now used cars are expensive, and that's just the way it is. Still, a good used car is always a better deal than a new car.

Bought my first truck from Vancouver Car Company. Good experience. Clean truck. Excellent price. Pete made it easy and worked with me through the process. They also have their own service department and anything that needs done they will work with you to get done. Check them out if you need a used rig.

We’ve been getting great cars here since 2010. The first one we bought is still running with no problems. It’s never had any kind of issue. Every car we’ve bought from here has lasted and been in very good shape. The owner is so kind and friendly!

Vancouver Car Company is the example of honest, fair and a quality car dealership. Went in and test drove a vehicle with Pete and he gave me the rundown on the vehicle, how they evaluate cars before deciding to put them on their lot and so on. Sat down and bought the car shortly after the test drive. Great staff and mechanics. Really appreciate the honest and straightforward approach of the Vancouver Car Company!

Absolutely the best place to buy a used car. Pete and John were fantastic. I originally was looking for a Jeep and Pete told me they were preparing a Jeep to sell and he called me to let me know it was available. Went down and drove it and saw a 2008 Dodge Ram I ended up getting. Great service and no high pressure

I would recommend this car company to anyone! They are fair priced, no back and forth, and the Price Is Right on the car. I felt totally confident in the car buying experience here. I ended up with a car that I liked with low mileage and most of the bills and whistles that cars have on them today fully leather and I love it and I walked away with the 3-year warranty that we did negotiate about. I know it's a used car place right, not your parents used car place! Pete and John both are extremely nice people that believe in treating others like they want to be treated. A novel is that! Thanks guys I love my Explorer!

Very friendly, trusting and honest. Pete was so kind on the phone and greeted me when I came in for a test drive. I bought a 2011 Toyota Corolla with a full inspection and even noticed that the air pressure was a bit low after several test drives and the winter weather. He made sure the tires were correctly filled with air before our drive and even offered to fix the sensor before I drove it home. The car was kept in great condition and John, money man was very friendly and made sure I had coverage for my car, as I didn't put any money down (couldn't). Will recommend to others.
