They are adding mileage so customer pay more.Never mention to do pre inspection before I leave. And charging ridiculous mileage.Check mileage inspection before you leave this place. Other than that, they gonna charge you ridiculous amount for mileage. I drove maximum 50 miles and they said I drove over 80 miles. And they said unfortunately they can’t fix lolDon’t try to make money like this please.

I had an appointment for 3 o’clock in the afternoon to have trailer lights put on as well as rent a trailer for 10 days. It took me three hours to get there! I arrived, and while I was making my reservation for the very last trailer that they had. I was asked to hold, so the guy at the counter could answer the phone. He then decided to sell the reservation to somebody else on the phone! leaving me without a trailer to rent while I was paying almost $300 to have trailer lights installed. He knew I was here to rent that very trailer but didn’t wanna have to do the paperwork because he knew he was gone at five. 5 o’clock rolls around. I still don’t have trailer lights or the trailer I was assured, I’d be able to rent while I was having my lights installed, all in all this is my worst U-Haul experience if available use another location.

Seriously don't try to go to the other Vancouver U-Haul places. The staff here is so far above and beyond. They are helpful. Insightful and just plain kind. I will be taking all of my moving needs to this U-Haul location.

UPDATE: The online service was not helpful but the in person service was great. Austin made it right as best he could. I would recommend calling ahead if you need after hours pickup.Dont do the mobile pickup. They double park their trucks here and if you get assigned one of the blocked trucks youre hosed. What an insulting waste of time.

I rented a truck to move a mattress from 10th St to 9th St. That's it. It went fine. When I returned the vehicle, they told me there was damage. There was a small scratch on the rear of the vehicle that was absolutely there before. No way I would have seen it. They made me pay an additional $164 for the damage. Absolutely untrustworthy, con men! DO NOT USE THEM!!! The owner that cheated me is named Wesley Williams. Do not trust him. Go anywhere else!!!!

Was asked for 2-each Emergency Contacts at the desk.Had already provided Driver's License as ID, as well as the Credit Card I reserved with. Same as every other time.I have never been asked to provide Name-and-Phone-Number Contacts at any Uhaul locations before, as a type of List "A"/"B" Proof-of-Identity.It was not right for them to ask or require this from me for any reason. Then they forced me to use a Passport also.Thats 2 Photo IDs and the Credit Card that I reserved with online, all 3 have my name on them.If 2 photo IDs are required, it should say that on the website during reservation.Very upset during pickup at this location ....

Columbia U-Haul attached trailer. Luckily we noticed an issue before we hit the road. Central Vancouver U-Haul diagnosed and fixed the problem immediately. We were back on the road in 20 minutes. Very friendly service. Plus... Got to pet the lovey dog.

When I reserved my truck online the email confirmation said "Major credit cards are required at the time of pick up for Cargo Vans and Pickup Trucks."It did NOT say that I would need to provide two "emergency contact phone numbers" of people who would actually pick up the phone when the lady at the counter called them. I've never had this experience with any other automobile rental company including prior rentals at U-Haul.The only reason that I'm giving this location two stars instead of one is because I like buying propane there.

Let me start by saying that I am NOT a fan of UHaul as a company. I've had over 30 years of consistently horrible experiences with my Bay Area UHaul locations. However, this location gets a 4 for this experience. Wesley personally gets a solid 5, but the rest of the experience, even within this location, gets a 2-3. As soon as we hit the road for a 3-week family road-trip in our new camper, we learned that the rear right tail light of the camper was not working. It works connected to other vehicles, so it was obviously a bad wiring job by the UHaul in Santa Rosa a week earlier. All up the coast from San Rafael to Portland we tried calling UHauls to ask if they could look at our issue. We had to call about 6 locations and retell our story twice at each location to different people. We finally called 1800gouhaul (twice b/c the first agent disconnected me after 20 minutes of holding). and they arranged a service in Vancouver, WA the following morning. We called that shop to confirm, and they said they couldn't take us for at least a day, but we did not have that kind of time. So they referred a few places nearby and we finally secured a 9a at the E 4th Plains location. We confirmed the time with an employee at the location, but when we arrived the following morning, Wesley greeted us and had no knowledge or documentation in their system of our appointment. We braced ourselves for another UHaul fail, but fortunately this location was not busy and Wesley began servicing our car right away. It was ready within the hour and my wife and kids and were happy campers. The wiring error turned out to be a poorly crimped connection, and it also caused the electronic brake controller to not function. Btw - we spent 2-3 hours trying to troubleshoot the EBC during the trip to that point, all the while driving a camper that was new to us and had no functioning trailer brakes, so that made us a bit nervous - and unsafe. We could feel the camper pushing our car. I will write a separate review for the San Rafael and Santa Rosa location which will receive well-deserved 1 and 2 star reviews respectively.

Moving day is stressful enough without the worst, horrible, awful customer service. Add to that a manager with a bad attitude, it just doesn't set the right tone for doing business. Way to go U-Haul! Hello Ryder! Penske anyone? I went in with my daughter to pick up a reserved truck at 7a.m. of the reservation day, and the mobile app was not working (3 attempts) so we had to wait for assistance. After we were fairly rudely addressed (more like chastised) for not having masks on (2 weeks before the end of mandates...) we finally had a chance to explain to the employee the mobile app was not working. **on the mask issue, I have been asked to wear a mask before, and have complied. But the snotty condescending tone that came from this one was a whole new level of ways Not to address paying customers. There is just no need to be that rude! The employee argued: 1. That the mobile app WAS working (3 rounds of this discussion) How is this helpful? If it worked, we would obviously not be in line to talk with her. We finally asked her to move on so we could get the keys and be on our way. 2. The employee continued arguing with us that we did not/could not insure the top of the truck, and would be considered negligent - even though they would not insure it (3 rounds of this discussion) Again, not only does this not make sense, why was the employee beating us up over it?? Again, we urged her to move on so we could get the keys and be on our way. 3. The manager came over to "help" and wasted another 10-15 minutes arguing the mileage from truck pickup to drop-off location, was the same as mileage from the distance from the pickup, back to the home to load, to the next unloading point, and back to the drop-off. (3 rounds of this discussion as well) Do they really expect our belongings to be neatly stacked at the U-Haul facility? NO!!! Ridiculous! On what planet would that mileage ever be the same? 4. Last but not least, and doing our very best to contain our impatience and response to being treated so poorly first thing in the morning... the "manager" told us that if we could not treat her like a person we would have to leave. What??? No doubt we already wanted to!! Unfortunately we were not in a position to make a change on the morning of moving day. So we bit our tongues and rented the truck. Not to mention the truck was not at the location we requested the reservation. It was 30 minutes out of the way! And this is not the first time that has happened. I can say with 100% certainty I will NEVER recommend, or do business with, U-Haul. Ever. Again. Nope. Done. Two employees managed to wipe out any previous positive experiences.

Called for some basic info. They helped me right away and didn't insist on taking a bunch of personal and car information before being willing to discuss my needs. The location on Andresen Rd is the opposite. They are more concerned with recording all your personal information for their marketing and leads metrics than actually helping the customer.
