STAY AWAY from this store. We purchased a low vision device and it BROKE a few months after we received it. The owner gave us a replacement device which broke again literally 2 months after the warranty expired. He would not honor fixing the device and gave us the runaround.SHADY SHADY SHADY. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS STORE!!

I had a wonderful experience purchasing an OrCam device from The Low Vision Store, for my child who has dyslexia. The owner/operator is an expert in his field and it’s clear that helping folks gain access to life-changing assistive technology is important to him on a personal level.

I had a wonderful experience purchasing a reading device for my son who has dyslexia. Ken is very knowledgeable and he took extra time to help us get started with our new OrCam device. I would absolutely do business here again.

My Mother 88yrs has macular eye disease and the vision is getting worse. I have bought enough magnifies glasses to open up a store. So I went online to purchase a much larger one. After talking with Ken he recommended the Vario FHD. All my Mother has to do is turn on and off, and 2 dials to use. My Mother loves it. She can read now. It was a pleasure to work with Ken. We thank you from Michigan.

I was looking for a reading machine for my father-in-law, who is completely blind, and Ken Twergo was very helpful, giving me the pros and cons of different models. We settled on one, and Ken shipped it to us in Canada. It arrived quickly, in great condition, and works as desired. A great experience with exceptional customer service!

This store is a must see (pun intended) for anyone with low or poor vision. My mom suffers from low vision issues and I've spent my fair share of time searching thru the internet to find her suitable magnifiers. Try to find a decent illuminated magnifier that has more than 3X magnification, it's not that easy. After just one call with Ken, the owner of The Low Vision Store, I knew we had found the right place AND it turns out it's just down the street from where my mom lives, go figure. Ken's website, thelowvisionstore.net, offers a wide range of hand held magnifiers that go from 1X to 14X. They also offer a bunch of other vision solutions for computers, reading machines and even a tiny camera that attaches to the side of your glasses (any glasses) and reads to you whatever you point the camera at. This is not a cheapie store tho, their prices start around $100 for some of their hand held magnifiers and go up from there, but they have some of the cutting edge solutions for low vision problems. At some point you have to ask yourself, how much is your vision worth? At that point, you'll find this store to be rather reasonable. It's not just the selection of products they carry that make this store a five star experience, it's really more about the service. Ken is a very calm, patient person and during our visit, he made us both feel right at home, his home. That's where his store is, it's in his home. If you take a step out the back door, there is a yard full of chickens (for eggs only). Ken doesn't run a regular retail store, but rather takes visitors by appointment. He says this way it's a one on one situation where the potential customer gets all the attention they might need. During our visit, he carefully and slowly explained all the different options to my mom, and let her try out all of his gadgets (he's got quite a few). In the end, my mom found a couple of items that will definitely help her vision. If I had one wish it would be to give all of my mom's vision back, but in the wishless world we live in, The Low Vision Store is the next best thing. Thanks Ken.
