I've been here twice. I'm a 14 year old girl who loves to cook, I'm half indian so I wanted to cook indian dishes. The first time I went here, the service was....strange. I didn't have much money on me, so I decided to just look around. I politely asked the lady if she could watch my bike while I shopped there because there was no bike rack, and she rudely told me I had to watch it. I don't know why she was so rude about that, but I paid for my ice cream and left. The second time I brought my brother and a friend, the lady kept starting at us and followed us around the store. Keep in mind we weren't being disrespectful and we were just shopping. She yelled at us for NO reason and told us to leave and never come back. I asked, "Can you tell us what we did wrong?" And she refused to tell me. Worst experience ever. Go to the shop across the street, they're WAYYY kinder.

This place has all the hard-to-find ingredients needed by the serious cook interested in Indian cuisine. They also have a good selection of chutneys and similar condiments.

- Some of the canned items or in jars are expired. Two items that I wanted to buy were produced 5 years ago and expired last year, in the second row next to the entrance._ Most of the items don't have price tags, when you ask for the price, the lady seems to do a favor for you out of her way and not happy to do it for you.

No prices on the items and you will have a surprise at the cash check out. Seems to be slightly on the pricier end.Stocked enough to get Indian groceries.

The costumer service was very unwelcoming and the staff would glare at us for no reason what so ever and it felt very unsatisfying to be there

Unwelcoming store! We came to this store to buy some food items. We were visiting and are not from Vancouver or Portland. I can say this store and person at the billing counter gave us an unwelcoming vibe that we never felt anywhere else in Vancouver or Portland. We were out within 5 mins and completed our shopping elsewhere. I wouldn't shop in this store if I were living here. Thanks for not starting your business where I live!!

The service is extremely bad. I asked the price of some sweets. The cashier woman was reluctant to tell the price and seemed like she was very irritated. Customer sevice should be improved.

Amazing selection of dry goods and whole spices but who cares when they close the store every time I come in? The business is ran like the scammers in India, telling certain people they deem as "tourists" or "foreigners" that the shop isn't open when it actually is. The chance I get in the store before they lock the door, I shouldn't be hounded about what I'm buying while I'm shopping. This shop is literally my last resort because the customer service is that terrible. Namaste, The market across the parking lot has better prices and treats their customers with honor and respect. With amazing competition literally across the parking lot I can't see this place staying open forever.
