This place treats people like they are less than, and punishes neurodivergent patients for stereotypical neurodivergent behaviors. I highly recommend finding alternative care especially for those with anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, bpd, autism spectrum, anything with rejection sensitivity dysphoria. The absolute worst receptionist I’ve ever spoken to over the phone and I am a liberal softie queen, studied psychology, and political theory, and I do not lose my cool. The lack of empathy, lack of trauma informed conflict resolution/care, and blatant lack of communication skills (let alone communication with people in need of mental health services) is astounding to me.My heart goes out to Seamar patients with more intense mental health crisis/needs than me because I’m honestly a pretty run of the mill case, and the amount of high stakes experiences and trauma I’ve had to face makes me very resilient to stress and difficult people. I’ve never had any problems like this in 10 years of mental health care, and if I’m having a hard time I can’t imagine what other people are going through.

I went to this clinic, and my therapist said it didn't make sense that I was bothered by all the rioting going on in Portland and other places, because I am a fan of Boxing and MMA, two legal regulated sports. 'Nuff said.

First counselor was rude and unprofessional. Told him went on a date with someone then later asks or tells me about how I was dating someone. No sir, it was one date and horrible. Asks several times about price changes for my dropshipping store, it's really not that difficult to understand. I don't know why he asked so many f****** times about it, it was super annoying. Had to explain to him at least a few times about High intensity weight training as he kept confusing it with HIIT (high intensity interval training). Also told him I have brain fog and can't remember well then kinda shamed me when I couldn't remember my grades from high school (wtf?). Tried bringing up past trauma from a hostile work environment and just gave me a weird sideways look. oh also said that my purpose in life isn't to "do dropshipping from my mom's basement" when we don't even have a basement. Told me he doesn't think he's being helpful and didn't bother him. Not really good at listening either. Never said I thought my purpose was dropshipping either, just a business idea I was running at the time and have moved onto bigger and better things. Didn't really acknowledge any of my physical health problems, said something along the lines of "oh well counseling and medication fixes all of that", well it didn't. Told me or implied if I get a job at Safeway, I'll be able to get a new PC and have "purpose" in my life. What a ton of horse s**** I'm making 15 an hour with benefits and still barely getting by. Have a new PC, but I still need to upgrade it. Tried relating about how my dad is miserable and takes it out on me and others, and says at least he's able to support you. I guess counseling these days is just shaming and judging people. He should honestly get a different job or get a refund on his BS social work degree. He's a dumbass. The other two counselors were a lot better but still not much of a help either, unfortunately.

I’ve been going to CSNW’s 39th street location for the past couple of years. I’ve read reviews of other Sea Mar locations and services, and although I haven’t been to another Sea Mar, judging this clinic by comparison would be undeserving. I’ve been seeing a therapist and attending their outpatient groups and I’m so grateful for the services they provide. Considering that most of their clientele is low income, their service and commitment to them goes beyond what you would expect. My providers are never late, the front desk is professional and courteous, and I’m happy with my therapist and treatment team. The waiting room can get busy, so make sure to arrive early (usually about 10-15 minutes) if you’re looking to sit in the lobby. A second downside would be their phone line can get busy. This clinic is high volume, so I expect it but with a couple of calls I get through with no problem. On the rare occasion I need to talk to someone in my treatment team, they handle my concerns quickly. Over all, this place has been a life saver for me and I wholeheartedly mean that.

The phone number here gives no contact phone number , no real person and hangs up on you.
