People are great. Products, not so much. Deli: Rotisserie chickens are $10 for a skimpy, not very good either. Go to Costco. There's a deal! Pharmacy could use better customer service, especially since the lines take forever to get through. Checkers are very nice. Although they just changed from Albertsons. Store is really dated & desperately in need of face-lift. Same with other Safeways around 98642. Sad, they are expensive & store doesn't make you want to shop there. Please update Salmon Creek location!

I like the modern Safeway mega grocery stores where have all essential products for everyone from bitth to death.
What i dont like about Safeway is discounts only available if uou sign up for tbeir app. I have yet to see a grocery store app that isn't an annoying intrusive and comfusing mess trying to sell you everything when im hrre to buy my normzl purchases and browse for on store specials occasionally.

The self checkouts are now limited to 15 items or less. This is asinine. I don't want to stand in line and wait to have the checker scan all my items and just throw them carelessly in the bag and treat me like garbage.
I prefer to take my time and go through self checkout and bag things the way I want to bag them. Plus a lot of the checkers are just plain rude. I don't want to deal with that.
The lady at self checkout today told me that I can just bag the items myself and that they really want the self checkouts to move along and not be held up. Whatever.
Still doesn't change the fact that the cashier is going to try to rush me out of there. I spend a fair amount of money each week. I want customer service and I don't want to be rushed out of the store.
I don't want to have to stand in line and wait, I dont want you touching my stuff and mashing the bananas under my canned veggies, I dont want to feel rushed. I want to feel valued as a customer and trusted.
First you made it so we practically had to use the self checkouts during covid because you didn't have enough checkers, now you are going to force me to go back to a checker. Which is it Safeway?
What about later at night when there is no one around. Your telling me instead of going through self checkout that I have to stand there and wait for someone to come up and ring me up? Whatever.
I like Safeway, I really do. I like the products, I like the deals I get, and every once and while I get to interact with a good employee, but the b.s. just keeps going up and up.
Most of the time you're out of the items on sale, the store is dirty, the store is understaffed, the staff is hostile when you ask questions. Now I can't even do self checkouts if I have more than 15 items. Hell this store has 9 self checkouts but only 6 are up and running! The negatives are starting to out weigh the good. Corporate needs to pull their heads out their butts.
I'm getting ready for some canned generic response where they say, "We are sorry you feel that way, but we have reached out to the appropriate team members and passed along your concerns."
Keep going Safeway. I've been shopping with you guys since I moved to Oregon/Washington a decade ago. I'd prefer to shop with you, but I'm ready to go to Winco or Walmart. Keep going with your b.s. please. I know the loss of one customer isn't important to you, but it should be.

I’m new to this area and have adopted this Safeway as our go to for grocery shopping. I have been very happy with every aspect of this store until today when I used their restroom. Absolutely disgusting. The shopping area is absolutely pristine but the restroom was filthy. Not that it hadn’t been cleaned recently but hadn’t been reasonably cleaned in a while. Disappointing.

Shopping with a relative from a different household encountered an employee rejecting the separate transactions from 2 memberships with claiming that “only one membership per household”. End up shopping in another location. Neither of us will shop in this store again.

My last delivery was late but the driver was helpful and I didn’t need to be anywhere , today I was supposed to have delivery between 1-5pm , it was again late but I had my grandsons bday party to attend . I missed my grandsons 10th birthday and Safeway gave me a $5 refund ! They also made a mistake and took $8 out of my debit card when I had paid with EBT .. the money caused me an overdraft and this store wouldn’t refund anything for their mistake . In total it cost me missing my grandsons 10th birthday , $8 plus a $25 overdraft fee . Don’t order from salmon creek , don’t shop in person as their employees don’t do their jobs , I called and spoke to the store director Yolanda at 9am today , she informed me she needs to shopping list with all the information on it before she can say anything . It’s now 3pm and I’m sure she’s gotten all the info she needs . Here’s a thought Safeway . Take accountability for your employees , store director is as bad as the e - commerce employees . @ Safeway I’ve reached out thru chat , I’ve spoken with your store director who never bothered to call me back . As of today you’ve messed up numerous times and the most recent you took $19.58 plus the $7.29 you were suppose to refund , instead you took the $7.29 two more times and the $19.58 I’m now owed $35 plus an overdraft charge from your first mistake . Today 4/27/2024 I was told by Jonathon in .com he’d take care of it and get back to me , that didn’t happen . I’ll be contacting the ATTORNEY GENERAL Monday morning . You owe me $70 and I’m bi longer listening to excuses

This location frequently forces customers to reschedule their order delivery, and a bug in the Safeway app prevents you from doing so.
This results in you having to wait a few days for the order to be cancelled, then a few more days to get your money back. You then have to place a new order and wait a day or two for delivery and pray they don’t force you to reschedule again.
The dotcom workers try their best to do what they can, but they are over worked and upper management doesn’t seem to care when I speak with them. They promise they will take care of it but nothing is ever done.
Basically, there is a high likelihood that the order doesn’t get delivered and your money gets held for up to a week before you can try again.
This severely impacts low income, disabled, and elderly individuals that rely on delivery service for food.
This has been going on for months and months now. Absolutely terrible.
