Colin is an awesome resource for accounting. If you ask for education, prepare for a fire hose of information. Appreciate the thoughtfulness put into our accounts.

Best people and CPAs ever, especially Colin! I would probably promote him to president if I was the owner!

Patsy was my accountant for over 30 years and I never had a problem. Two years ago I got a new accountant and he wanted to argue with me whether gambling losses offset gambling winnings. This last year I got put with Scott Salsbury and he wanted to investigate whether I had an investment property for over 5 years, when I told his specifically that it had been. After waiting 8 days for my taxes to be sent off, I called to find out they weren't done yet because they were still investigating. Long story short, they notified me late to send them off by May 17 and there was a $700 mistake that they didn't correct and now I'm paying to get my money back.

3/10/2021I called the office to schedule my tax appointment, I was greeted with a friendly voice by Peggy. She was so knowledgeable on who would be the best fit for my tax needs. She had a friendly, welcoming friendly voice and I didn’t feel rushed off the phone and that is something to value! I received my welcome form, email within minutes and I feel confident that my taxes are in the right hands. As someone who is in the customer service industry themselves (me) :) I give two thumbs up on the customer service aspect. Keep up the good work!

We have been using Peterson & Associates for at least 10 years now and have nothing but the best to say about them. They are consistently professional, conscientious, capable, and organized, while also being helpful and friendly. When our CPA retired, they coordinated a seamless hand-off to another CPA on staff with whom we are delighted. More than just a service or a transaction, they develop a relationship. Wholly recommended!

I have been coming here for years and have always been treated with utmost professionalism and respect! Fees are are very reasonable, taxes are filed very quickly, hours of operation are very accommodating, and I highly recommend them!! My husband and I have used Laurie Kangas as our accountant and will continue to do so as long as she is working there! Hopefully for many years to come! The front desk ladies are amazing as well!!

My wife and I have been working with Laurie Kangas for 16 years. She is extremely professional, diligent and works hard for her clients. Peggy in the front office is wonderful as well. We trust Laurie so much, we moved to Arizona 8 years ago and still have Laurie handle our account.

This was our first experience filing taxes with Petersen and we won’t be back. In general we found the front office staff to be very welcoming and especially cordial. Our taxes were filed and our refunds came through as expected, the math was correct. In general, COVID guidelines we followed and safety was ensured. Our issue with the firm is entirely associated with our interaction with Mike McMorine. In general, we got the impression that Mike hadn’t updated his tax knowledge in the last decade or more and many of our questions related to student loans and long term equity were fumbled. Similarly, Mike had no understanding of the online methods the IRS uses to validate identity - leaving us with little more than an assumption when we entered this process. Those issues wouldn’t earn this review.Within minutes of sitting down in his office, Mike made it clear that he struggles to respect women beyond what is facially required. The first comment Mike made to my wife was, “Pardon my sexism, but…”. I think that awkward silence proved to him that he shouldn’t start sentences that way. Any sentence that begins this way, shouldn’t be finished. I also think that was the only time Mike looked my other half in the eyes; he spent the rest of the appointment speaking directly to me and doing everything he could to avoid that glare.Sure, we could have walked out - but I’m glad we didn’t. Everything Mike said afterwards, his weak attempts to concede that “dual income homes are more popular than ever” or that “he has a daughter (with a similar job) that works” became fodder for laughter for the next few weeks. To the leadership at Petersen - please do a better job of coaching your employees to interact with a more modern minded audience.

Scott has done my taxes since I moved here and is so patient and thorough! He never rushes me and explains everything he does and ensures I understand what he is doing. I'm mailed a letter each year that lets me know if there are any tax changes I need to know and what I need to bring in. Also, when I call for an appointment the call is handled very pleasantly and efficiently. I've never had to wait long to get the appointment or in the waiting room when I arrive.

I have been going to Peterson & Associates (P&A) for my personal and business taxes for over 11 years now. I cannot say enough about how knowledgeable and helpful they have been. Having a multi-state company has its challenges in regards to taxes and state regulations. P&A has always help keep me up to date. They have excellent customer service and I never feel as though my business is too small for their services. Thank you P&A for all you do for me and my company, I highly recommend!

I created a google account just to review P&A. Expensive and lazy. I'm not going to name names, but I hope the new management takes a closer look at their 'associates' activities.

Our experience is only with Scott Salsbery in this office and we are extremely disappointed. There were many mistakes in his work and he never took accountability for his work. Fixing the mistakes costed us penalties but also a lot of $$$ in his hourly rate. I find it is utterly unfair to think these CPAs can charge for advice, make mistakes and charge you again to fix it (and we are left with not just these 2 bills but bills from IRS too). So is it in their interest to do things right the first time? Where is accountability? No other professionals can get away with such mistakes.
