I just left this hospital without hospital approval. Multiple reasons. 1. I asked for help with a migraine. A simple documented health issue common to most medical professionals. I began asking near 6 am. With a hell of a day, I wasn't actually helped until 7:40 pm. More then twelve hours later. 2. My food was repeatedly left outside my room with no one informing me it was there. No one brought it in. I had to leave my room to get my tray with no idea of what time it arrived or how long it sat on the cart. Repeatedly, my food was cold. 3. Migraine solution issues continued for days. 3. After a psych evaluation, they came into my room unannounced and with no explanation took almost everything out of my room, including my possessions and the room phone. Cutting me off from the world. I might have required this, but to descend on the room with several white coat employees and take everything without warning is beyond appropriate. 4. After another tray of my food was left out, I tried to call to remind them I had missed a breathing treatment, and no one replied. I then stood at my door and waited for someone to walk by. No one. I then just walked up to the desk, no-one there. People behind a plexiglass five feet away, ignored me. So, I left. I was escorted out. Not allowed to wait in the heated lobby for my ride. In winter, with snow on the ground. I had no socks and no coat. It was sleeting. They would not let me sit on the bench out-side, under cover. They put me out on the sidewalk. I arrived in an ambulance, so no winter clothes. If they can't do meds, food, or basic services, what else are they mucking up?

I'm new to the Vancouver area, and most of my neighbors told me that getting a good provider is difficult. From the reviews, unless you pay for concierage service, you're not likely to get much. But, I thought, I'll call PeaceHealth and see about getting a new patient appointment with Kimberly Overton. What a joke, sat on hold, eventually not disconnected but nothing, as if I was just put on mute at someone's position. What a way to start a relationship.

Amazing staff are super friendly and approachable, and they always have your best interests in sight. Great care. Only downside is how long everything takes. Takes a while to be called back, and a long wait in between doctors when getting care.

I wish I could say good things about Peace Health. But as a senior new to Vancouver I must say IT IS HORRIBLE IN EVERY RESPECT. DO YOUR SELF A FAVOR. Look elsewhere for health care. it took 5 phone calls to make an appointment for a routine physical. That doesn't include times I was transferred to the wrong people. Finally, I got an appointment weeks later. When I got there it was a wasted appointment as it was only to meet the Primary Care Physician. The next appointment was not even with the person I met. Then when I finally got the physical, I had to come back for blood test. It was a comedy of errors over and over. Now I am getting badgered by Peace Health Billing. I paid my Bill on 9-20. Check was cashed on 9-25. I have gotten 3 follow up mailings for a bill I have already paid. I finally sent a copy of the front and back of my canceled check as proof. They say it will take up to 3 weeks to verify. And they may need more proof of payment. Today I got a TEXT message telling me Final notice for payment. What is wrong here? 3 weeks to look at a cancelled check? Unacceptable. Get it together Peace Health! Tom Sowards Vancouver Wa.

Long wait times are a delay in care for patients. Employees are stuck in a terrible situation when they're short staffed. Do better!

Sadly understaffed. Needs to hire more staff that actually provide care and get rid of managers that bully staff.

I have had to use PeaceHealth Southwest medical center many times and i am not sure what is going on with management. It used to be clean and very well run. Now it is filthy on the inside. The floors are awful. They are extremely short staffed and apparently have no desire to improve conditions there. The staff there are wonderful and very hard workers but are expected to always do more than anyone should have to do without help. PeaceHealth management need to learn to treat the staff as they themselves would want to be treated.

Disappointed that in an emergency the ambulance brought a loved one to this horrible hospital. He has not been getting the care he needs and they decided putting him in a coma would be best. Then they bring in a new nurse in training to care for him. I'm scared of what would happen if he was left alone with her. I have no confidence in this facility or its ability to take proper care of my loved one. I wish I could have transferred him to a better hospital but I have no choice now. If you are reading this please do not let yourself or a family member go through the pain and stress mine is going through now.

This hospital has all the ability to be great, but administrators are obviously causing a huge downfall. I had to wait 8 hours in the ER before being seen. It took 13 hours in total for the visit. If I had come in for a small issue I can understand, but I was extremely sick and got admitted. For that reason, I won't be back here. The staff was very kind and patient. However, you can only do so much with what you have. Administration should be paying and staffing hospital workers better. No one wants to work in a constantly low staffed and unappreciated area. If they could do that, this place could soar. I am hoping the updates to the building help, but they can only help so much. 5 stars to the team that helped me during my week there. The 3 stars are for overall especially the pre emergency visit and wait times.

Racism no black workers. Discrimination and scrutiny for colored patients! Don't sleep or else you won't get your treatments and they think your on something! Charge nurse Hannah very racist had security come search my belongings because she found a lighter she may have planted on me while I was asleep. They don't fallow protocol or doctors orders! By far the worst hospital and medical treatment I've ever received Threaten to escort me out with IV still in me if I didn't let them search me! Found nothing but lighters didn't even receive an apology! I'm beyond embarrassed! Isolated. Discriminated against and unsatisfied five days plus in hospital for an asthma attack

STAY AWAY!! It is a corporately owned, beholden entirely to the shareholder and, with very few exceptions, cares not a whit about the patient. I consider that rather odd. Why would you treat your revenue stream with such disdain? Makes zero sense... There is no regard for patient input, feelings or condition. There is no "bedside manner", no inclusivity on care for the WHOLE patient because whomever you see is towing the corporate line only and works within those parameters only. It is staffed exclusively with careless, non-engaged young people pretty much all under the age of 25. The forward staff try to work within the chaos of all of the remodelling that gets done around each external portion of their facilities, but there are some real bad eggs at some of their front counters. This just covers a microsecond of what I have documented and experienced in the last 3 years. I believe that Medicare would be very interested to know just how much deception and outright fraud I have been able to document. I could go on, but I would be at this for days. Suffice it to point out, STAY AWAY and try to find a doctor that is not part of a large corporation. I know it's tough in this area, but there just has to be a better alternative than what we have now.

Worst hospital I have ever been to. I have been in this emergency room probably four times with broken bones and torn ligaments due to snowboarding. Every single time I've waited over six hours and end up leaving because of the service and the wait time. Absolutely ridiculous. For a hospital emergency room, you'd think it'd be more urgent. I will never be coming back to this hospital and I would rather die before coming back here and waiting eight hours for a diagnosis.
