Not sure if it helps or matters but here is my story. I just got a Traeger BBQ from a customer. I had questions and wanted to replace some parts and maybe buy the Meater. So I strolled in getting a dirty look from the cashier over the bbq area and syarted to look around. Looked at everything they had, no assistance yet, so I went up to the cashier ad asked for help I requested someone who knew about the bbq ( i want to get the right components. ) she says np go back to the bbg area again stand around waiting for a very long time and again no assistance so at this point no sale either. Really not impressed, also after price comparison they were many dollars more that competitive pricing.

Parrose has just about everything you could ever need. It is a little spendy for nuts and bolts but they fulfill an important role in getting my projects finished. Those last things that you need prevent you from turning "done" into " done done"

We won't be back. We had our tap break at about 7pm. After we shut off the water to the house retrieved the part we need to replace my boyfriend immediately went to Parkrose. He got there with minutes to spare before they closed with part in hand. We are not the type to usually show up right before a shop closes but this was an emergency as we have a young baby and need water for him. An employee witha rude demeanor told him they were closed at the door. My boyfriend tried to explain all he needed was the tap because of an emergency and that the store hours said they were open until 8 and it was early. The employee then said that the manager told them they could close shop. He then just flippantly said we don't have those and shut the door on him.I have shopped at Parkrose my whole life, as have my parents. We are locals that believe in patronizing local businesses before big box retailers. This is an employee problem but more so a management problem! I understand the want to go home after a shift... but to turn away a customer (actually 2, there was woman in her car that warned my boyfriend they closed early and were refusing to service customers), close early, and be rude about it... that is unacceptable especially in the age of options for customers (many of which are cheaper as well). Teach your employees tact! There is a way to tell a potential customer that you are closed (even early) without being rude! He could have said "I'm sorry, we had to close early. Can I see what you have? Oh, I'm sorry we don't have that exact part. If you want to come back tomorrow we can try to help you find a comparable part." Tact!Anyways, I came here to point out that while this may have only cost them $50 worth of our business that night... it actually cost them tens of thousands at the minimum. We are renovating multiple properties, and we like to spend local. I can guarantee it won't be at Parkrose! In the immortal words of Vivian from Pretty Woman: Big Mistake. Big. Huge!

This place has everything you could ever want! You could wander around in here for an hour. Which I did. Came in to get some supplies for my birdfeeders. There is so much to see and get huge amount of tools and today I checked out the barbecue area. Traeger city! Also quite a few Webbers. I'll have to come back in another month or so to get my summer supplies.

Parkrose Hardware never disappoints; I needed basswood, sandpaper, spackle, and a few other odd things and found everything I needed. The prices were good too. This time, the person at the counter was friendly and fast; I have had others who were not as on top of things as they should be.

Good high-quality products, wide inventory on hard-to-find items, friendly and responsive staff, except prices on common items are quite high.

Tried going here for a pole saw attachment. Their website said they had several of the one I was looking for. I had to look around the store for a minute to find an employee. I asked if they had any in stock in the back. At first she didn't bother even checking just said probably not and the display is what was actually for sale. I asked again if she could check, stating the website says they should have several. She used her radio to talk to someone who took about 2 seconds to respond saying they didn't have any. Hard to believe they actually checked when she didn't even say which one I was looking at so I guess they just had none of any?I don't mind supporting a local business and even paying more to do so but I just don't see myself going back. Apparently their inventory management is poor enough their website isn't even close to being accurate and they won't actually check if an item is in stock and instead just make assumptions and not be bothered.

I called down there for a doorbell switch. The lazy guy would not go look at the price for me. I am disabled with a limited budget & have no car but I could manage to drag myself down there a half a mile if the price was affordable.

The employees here are completely rude and need some training on how to treat people. Accusations they make just to look like they are doing their job, can get someone in alot of trouble. The worst employees ever.

Best of all general hardware stores! I wish there were more of them. Best advice along with good products.

Be careful buying circuit breakers from this place. They would not refund an unused circuit breaker i purchased and did not tell me at the time of sale that it was a final sale purchase. Would not give me store credit either.

This guy named Dave patiently listened to me go on about several different projects I was working on and gave me great advice on all of them. He found the exact screws and tools we needed. He was respectful and humble and knowledgeable just like Ron Swanson! He reminded me of my dad who I miss a lot. Thanks for everything Dave!
