Horrible place. They treat people in prison better than they treat you here. Do not go here. There is no a.c and the windows barely open. So in the summer you are absolutely miserable. Also they will kick you out if you're room isn't absolutely spotless everyday. They do not care if you're struggling with any issues. They also will just come in your room when they please.

Know a volunteer from there. Met some staffing when doing donations. Everyone very nice and polite. Later found out a friends relative got help from Open Door and got them back on their feet now holding down a job and living on their own. Great place to go when there's nowhere else to turn.

If I could give zero stars I would!!!!!!!! Worst place ever horrible conditions. The first floor has air conditioning but the top two floors do not, which causes the rooms to get well over 90 degrees durning the hot summers. The director cut residents off from sleeping in the air conditioning gym because ONE person slept in supposedly inappropriate attire. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was just in shorts and a tank top considering how uptight they are. Don’t get me started on the nasty thrift store

Helps families with housing and resources until they can get a place of their own. Yahoo!!! We love this ministry for that reason!

This is a well established and very useful, in addition to helpful organization which most people require at certain points, and or stages in there lives.Every once in awhile a hand up is more beneficial then a handout it also effects both the one helping as much as the one helped. Within this establishment is also a well coordinated volunteer program that’s an effective place to see your efforts help brighten the day of someone in need of a little amount of sunshine in their world.

I could not believe how large this place is and the place serves so many in need. The people are very nice. Furniture in good condition was greatly appreciated.

Love taking clothes and household goods here, where people can just have them, if needed, and not have to pay

Open House is a game changer, It helped me and countless other families change thier lives for the better! I will forever be grateful for this place. If you are a community member looking to serve, or donate, this is where you should do it. This place is amazing and it runs off of donations and I can assure you that your time and donations will be used to support the residents and families, for years. They really take care of you and I'm not exaggerating, they completely wrap around you and provide you with the skills and tools to be successful. This is the only program like this that I know of, but there should be so many more. If you really want to change your life, and you have the opportunity to live at Open House you will be a better person for it. I can't say enough good things about this place! Seriously, I've lived in all the family Homeless shelterds in the Vancouver area and none of them can hold a candle to Open House. They provide Childcare for residents so they can go to programming, they have treatment providers, GED prep classes, theriputic art, support group meetings, case managers, giving back, and so much more. They take care of all of the holidays things too. It's really incredible and I am honored to have the opportunity now, years after living there to go and volunteer there one day a week, and I feel like I'm just at home with all my people ❤️ This places is blessed because of the work they do!
