Great gym! Very spacious and clean, staff is friendly. We’ve been at Naydonovs for a couple years now in Irina’s class, my girls love her. She’s an amazing coach. She goes above and beyond caring for her students progress. I’ve recommended her classes to many friends.

Mixed feelings about this gym. I have heard that Coach Chris (who is absolutely amazing) is the “Manager” for the preschool and rec program. If that is the case, I really wish the owner would let him actually manage and train the other coaches.Unfortunately, after nearly 3 years at Naydenov starting in Parent Tot when our daughter was 2 years old… we have experienced a significant gap in instructor quality. While Coach Chris and Coach Addie (Adalee) are what I would call the creme de le creme (the type of coach who arrives early to set up a fun yet challenging obstacle course for their class because they really care)…For reasons I *cannot* fathom, management not only employs but appears to put high on a pedestal, instructors like Irina. She shows up just as her class is starting; she lets the preschoolers take multiple water breaks during a 45 min class while she sips her starbucks / checks her smartwatch / flips her hair and socializes; she does the SAME things class after class, rarely challenging or introducing something new; and she seems resistant (or just doesn’t care) to offer corrections so that the children will learn proper technique and actually progress. For example, after months in the same class doing the same things, when I asked Irina what skills my child would need to move to the next level, she said a cartwheel. I had NEVER seen her teach cartwheels. Very frustrating to say the least. When asked why we haven’t gone somewhere else, I point to the coaches of great caliber who encourage us to stay enrolled and stick with their program (this includes team coaches). And, I say that SAFETY, not instructor quality, is #1 to me which Naydenov excels at, IMO. I wish they would evaluate the instructors by sending out anonymous feedback surveys to the parents, so they could actually know how they’re performing and what to improve on.

Amazing! The new gym is great and so spacious. We love coach Chris! He is very kind, patient, and works really well with the toddlers.

Wow!! This place is huge! It's very clean, the people are super friendly, and they have so much to offer including a pre-school option and birthday parties! The prices are on par with other extracurricular activities and the schedule is pretty vast. If our gymnastics experience is anything like our initial tour, we are in for years of training and fun here!

We recently switched my daughter to team at Naydenov, and I cannot begin to express my gratitude towards the entire team here. First, the new facility is GORGEOUS! It’s so large, but never starts to feel crowded. There’s ample seating for parents upstairs. As the mom of a kiddo in a wheelchair, I also am extremely appreciative of the accessibility of the facility. Plenty of handicap spaces and an elevator to access the mezzanine viewing area. The staff is one in a million. Alexis, the lead compulsory coach cares so much about her kids and it shows. My daughter has already felt so welcome and would live at the gym if she could. The coaching is top notch. They’re great at explaining and also challenging the kids. Kevin, the owner is also very kind and clearly loves his gym families and goes out of his way to make sure everyone is taken care of.We never experienced rec here so I can’t speak to it, but from what I’ve seen those kids are beyond excited to go to class, and leave with huge smiles. Our switch to Naydenov has been one of the best choices I have made for my daughter. Every aspect of Naydenov makes it well worth our 1+ hour drive from the west side of the Portland area.

All of the coaches and staff at Naydenov are amazing people. I've been bringing my daughter here since she was 3. She started with Coach Chris. He's the best. I've never seen a coach who is so great, funny and patient with the kids. Additionally, I've had the chance to observe other coaches teaching styles. Specifically, Coach Allie. She teaches some of the teams (older girls). I appreciate how stern she is while also being fair. I hope that when my daughter becomes older that she'll have the chance to be coached by her if she sticks with gymnastics. All in all, Naydenov has been a great experience. The new facility is also wonderful.

My daughter has been a rec/pre team gymnast at Naydenov for just under a year and we have really loved our experience here. This is our second gym and we have no plans of leaving. The coaches & Naydenov staff work hard to provide each gymnast with a safe, fun and equal experience. Highly recommend!

If you care about your childs mental health do NOT let your child join the Xcel team. The head coach does not care about your child. She has her favorites and it will be obvious. My daughter was bullied all season and ignored when she tried to talk to coaches. After several conversations with coaches and me about the issues it only got worse. Until these girls cornered her in the locker room and began harrassing her. I called and left a message with the coach and recieved several nasty text messages back. I tried talking to the owner and he talked over me the entire time. He assurd me it would be handled but I doubt it will. Dont waste your money.

This gym isnt properly cleaned, is under-staffed, and isnt safe. The open gym was chaotic and barley monitored most likely becuase their staff are all under the age of 16 besides the people at the front desk. Most of their staff members were rude aswell. It looks like somewhere people take their kids for cheap childcare.

I have 2 children learning gymnastics and their confidence has grown considerably in the time that they have been attending. They have so much fun and the staff is welcoming and supportive. Coach Chris has always been a pleasure to interact with whenever we are there and our kids are always excited to see him.I can see our family being with Naydenov for years to come and I’m excited to see the new facility when it’s operational

Breaks my heart to do this. We have been once this past Sunday and I will never set foot in there again. The staff was amazing and tried to do their best BUT with over 60 kids in there it was a hell of a job to keep an eye on everyone.1) This place is dirty. I am not complaining about the chalk that the gymnasts use and it’s all over the place, I am talking about the bathrooms…shoes, clothes, water bottles thrown on the floor. Very corner is filled with something…2) Shoeless kids running into the bathrooms and coming back onto the gym floor.3) There is absolutely no air filtration in there. None. 0%.There are heaters and ceiling fans but the air is filled with dust and chalk.4) The equipment is very old. Like very, very, very old.5) Huge spider webs around the windows….It breaks my heart to write this review because I know how talented and amazing the coaches are and my son had an amazing time this Sunday in there but I can not go back. Not even for free.Good luck on opening the new place. We’ve all been waiting for the past 4 years.

My son is 5 and has mild global growth delays with widespread hypotonia and retained reflexes. Special needs parents will know what all that means. I could not keep up with his exercises (I have health issues mysefl) and his OT suggested gymnastics classes.I choose Naydenov because of how easy it is to find a class (they have many), how affordable it is, and because of the high recommendation from my sister. I'm so glad I did! We have had the blessing of working with Ms. Adalee in a one-on-one basis (the other classmates haven't come to class yet so it's just the two of them).I can tell right away that the movements she does with him challenge his retained reflexes in multiple ways without being impossible for him to do. She teaches him with simple instructions, fun games, and is sometimes hands-on if he needs assistance. She's always very encouraging.I was really worried that the teacher would not be accommodating, or that he would be asked to do things he just couldn't, but none of those things happened and it's really just been lovely to go there every week. We both look forward to it.When he's worked very hard or hit a milestone, she gives him a ribbon that he gets very excited about and shows to grandma and grandpa and he just really enjoys his time there.
