We had very high hopes for king's way LC as it is linked to the school which is highly rated. Unfortunately, the learning center seems to operate completely separate from the school. We started her at 2 years of age until she turned 3.5. Our experience was hit or miss. We had lots of teacher turnover in two of our daughters classes. In one class year, we had 3 different teachers.I noticed that the parents are not really allowed to be involved in classroom activities. It is strongly discouraged for parents to meet other parents or be involved in any way in the classroom. I found this to be very odd as I know I'm other schools, parental involvement is encouraged. In addition, my daughter ended up having severe encopresis or constipation. They are allowed only certain times to use the restroom (as there was no restroom in her last class) and per our daughter, she didn't want to bother the teachers when she had to use it outside of that time so she would hold it in.Eventually, our pediatrician explained it was likely in part due to not having a bathroom in the classroom. Unfortunately, this caused accidents where both the teachers and administration (in particular the VP of the learning center) were informed and instead of being supportive, they said she would have to figure it out or they would kick her out of the school. We felt very sad about the way they treated us and our daughter during this crucial time when she needed a lot of patience and sensitivity. There were multiple incidents of the teachers not communicating to us about our daughter in person, but then later we find out that something else was being said to administration. After the threat of being kicked out, we promptly moved her to another preschool who was very accommodating with her situation and within a week in that loving environment, she was having BMs at their school with no problem. The way they treated her was very sensitive and encouraging and it worked wonders.Another issue was naptimes. My daughter stopped taking naps at 3 years old but was made to take a nap in the dark (no windows in the class) and no books or toys for 2 hours. Kids have so much energy so I'm not sure why this was a rule. She would get reprimanded if she made a peep. She would get so upset about having to go to school bc of this long nap they enforced daily. We are very glad we switched her to a different school where she is now thriving but are sad that we had to leave a Christian environment (we are a Christian family) bc they were not loving and encouraging to my child towards the end.

Do NOT send your child here for preschool. They perform a test on your child that is kindergarten and first grade level to see if they are ready for their preschool. My poor husband and I were so excited for our sweet boy to start preschool and when my husband was called back into the room after the test, the teacher said she had “bad news.” Our child did not pass the test. He couldn’t spell his name, count to 20, recognize every letter in the alphabet, draw a picture of his face, hold the pencil the correct way etc! We felt like horrible parents until I found this lovely preschool where they told me we were not the only ones who were put through that horrible process then looked around but mentioned they weren’t sure their child was ready for preschool. This and other preschools we visited said that test was totally NOT APPROPRIATE! A child enters preschool to learn those skills. A child enters preschool to play, interact with others and learn those skills through play. We found a perfect preschool for our sweet boy where he had so much fun just at the meet and greet! I’m so glad our child wasn’t accepted to Kingsway because that is not what I want for my child. Shame on them.

We paid the application fees. We filled out our forms early. We went on a tour. Our guide told us there were loads of seats open and we should not have a problem getting in. We submitted our application early. We had to constantly follow up with them to get updates. We finally got an interview. The girls scored well from what I heard but received an auto form email that was rejected after I had to follow up with them again as our application just sat there. This reminded me of the form job rejection emails that candidates often get. This was not personable, nor was it very Christian. They said they had too many applicants. We called to speak with someone at the school, including the VP of Elementry. The lady in the office kept emailing us to see if we got a callback and insisted he would return our call. We never heard from the man and were totally blanked. We won't ever recommend this school now or ever consider going there. What a giant waste of time. What a giant waste of enrollment form fees. Our kids have good grades and we make good money. Our girls are active in the community. They really lost a good thing with our family and connections and left us on a very sour note and scrambling to find more schools, many of which are already full for 1st grade. I will forever associate this school as unprofessional and cold. They did us a favor by letting us see their true colors. PS: We were interviewing you as well. Thanks for letting us see what you really stand for....application fees.
