This review is for a visit that was in spring time. It has been a difficult road since then. I had taken my cats here a few times before this spring visit. My one cat was showing signs of not feeling well on a Sunday. I took him to a ER Vet on Sunday afternoon after a few tests and antibiotics I was headed home. There was no definitive answer to what was wrong with him. I called Feline Medical first thing on Monday morning and they called me back after their morning meetings asking if I could bring him in for the early afternoon. I took him in and told them what the ER said. They took his blood and other vitals, force fed him. His temp was 105. They said the blood work would not be in most likely until the next day, but there would be a possibility it could come later in the evening. They could tell he was not feeling well, but just didn't know what was wrong until lab results came back. As I was finishing up the conversation with the vet, one of the last things I asked her was "I am taking him back home with me?" She said yes. That is one of two issues I have with the service I received. I had no idea that they didn't take critical cases/admit patients for overnight observation. It was never said to me. So I thought I was doing everything I could. If I would have known that they didn't handle overnight observation, I would have taken him back to the ER for observation. I don't feel as if I had all of the options presented to me.
The next issue is how they handled delivering the blood results to me. They open at 0800 and I waited until 0930 Tuesday (the next day) morning to call. The person who answered said they had the results and that the Dr. was going to call me at 2pm. I couldn't believe what I had just heard. I said to her that something is seriously wrong with my cat and I needed to speak to a Dr. sooner than that to know what the next step was. She said that shouldn't could not discuss the results with me. I repeated that I needed a Dr. to call me sooner, and 2pm was not acceptable. She said she would speak to the Dr. We hung up. A Dr. called me back about 15 mins later. Basically it was not good. He needed to go for more tests and be under observation while it was determined what was going on. I expressed my dissatisfaction with how long they were going to wait and call to tell me that I would have to take him to the ER - almost 5 hours. That is a LONG time for a cat who is sick to have to wait just to be told that his case had to be transferred. I also let the Dr. know that the original Dr on Monday never said anything about not being able to admit overnight.
I then had to call the ER and they told me the vet would have to call and do a case transfer and then after they spoke with the Dr. at Feline they would call me back with an estimate. I would have to pay the estimate before hand to start service.
All of that happened and I had him at the ER vet by 1130am. It was a long couple of days. I had to end up putting him to sleep, bone marrow cancer was their best diagnosis without doing a necropsy. I declined the necropsy, he had already been through enough.
Look, I know it would have not changed the final outcome, but Feline Medical could have done better in their processes/procedures. His time suffering could have been reduced, and that is of huge importance. I have since found a different vet for my other cat.

I’m new here, but the 3 interactions I’ve had with this team have completely blown me away.
The person that helped me get all my appointments scheduled was so so nice, and made a complicated situation seem really simple and easy. The doctor and other staff we met on our first appointment were great, super thorough, and answered my questions so well. I emailed them a question this afternoon, and a vet just CALLED ME BACK. I’m over the moon, thank you so much.
It is such a huge relief to feel taken care of, after dealing with a previous vet office that was so incredibly frustrating to work with. I highly recommend Feline Medical Clinic ❤️

I’ve come to Feline Medical for years and the whole staff here is just so amazingly wonderful. If you have a cat you love, bring them here for annual checkups, care, and all their health needs and you won’t regret it.

Feline medical clinic was fantastic with my baby. Dr.King was very thorough, kind, and informative. You can tell the staff all genuinely care which allows for an excellent experience. I am so glad to have found a cat exclusive clinic! If you love your fur baby, take them to Feline Medical Clinic!

Very thorough, compassionate, and fair in pricing. We have 3 cats and live in Portland but choose to drive up to Vancouver because they've received such great care here.

All (vet, techs and staff) are very nice and explained everything they were doing during my cat's exam. My previous vet did these things in another room. I greatly appreciated being able to see my cat getting his blood pressure taken and given fluids via an IV.

I’m so glad I found a cat-only clinic near me. They have Feliway plugged into the exam rooms (and probably the whole clinic) and they do a lot to ensure their feline patients are comfortable. Last time I went in, they had a little box with a blanket inside where they put my cat during the exam and he was so cozy and relaxed (as much as he could be in a strange location). The clinic is very small (as expected) and their waiting room isn’t open, but the doctors and staff are really nice and I highly recommend to anyone who has cats

Very caring and kind staff. Called to follow up on my cats condition. I wished I could find a medical health provider for myself that cared as much as they did for my fur baby.

Cannot say enough good things about this vet
Everyone I came in contact with was amazing. They treated my cat so well, were kind and compassionate; they were honest and didn’t try to upsell anything.
The prices were crazy reasonable compared to other vets in the area.
So happy I chose them as the new vet for my Pumpkin!

These folks are fantastic. I own a cat boarding facility and I get a lot of their clients coming in to board. Whenever I need help they are right on it and always do their best to help. I choose to take my own cats there as well.
