About DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Vancouver, Washington
The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Vancouver provides a stay with notable contrasts. The hotel is generally described as clean, with friendly and great staff. Many guests found their stays fully satisfactory and would absolutely stay again. The food and drinks receive consistent praise, with a surprisingly extensive dinner menu noted for good quality, value, and service, and the continental breakfast is called amazing and well worth it. However, the hotel is widely noted as old and in obvious need of an upgrade, not yet up to Hilton standards. A common complaint is the worn-out, peeling, and badly shaped furniture in rooms and lounge areas, with some items missing entirely. Other recurring issues include problems with room temperature, malfunctioning or slow elevators, and maintenance concerns like leaking showers. Some guests reported mold in bathrooms and missing safety hardware on doors. Construction and late-night hallway cleaning caused disturbances. The pool area was open but sometimes uncomfortably warm, and the hot tub was not operational. Despite these mechanical and upkeep issues, the satisfactory service and quality dining options remain positive highlights.
They were under construction and didn't notify anyone until you checked in. There was furniture missing from our room, the elevators didn't work, and the pool area was like a sauna. On the plus side, their continental breakfast was amazing.

They are under renovation. Our room did not have a couch as pictured.

Elevator did not work. Thanks to Daryl, he took my one big heavy luggage up. They gave us the third floor. When we booked the hotel we weren’t told the elevator was not working. 8 months without one, I’ve heard. We did ask if they had air conditioning (which they did); but who knew to ask about elevators.
