I had a great experience here! I had several appointments to test drive vehicles because I had a hard time choosing one. Sonny was absolutely fantastic to work with. He’s so personable and knowledgeable and he made the car search process tolerable. He doesn’t try to sell you anything like stereotypical car salesmen at traditional dealers. He is a shining star in the car business and I would recommend him to anyone looking to buy!

I recently traded cars with them. The amount they paid for my trade in was far above what dealership offers had been and the price for my purchase was fair market value. The associate with whom I worked was knowledgeable and efficient. The missing star in my review was for poor pre-sale maintenance. I had a post-sale inspection done and there were $1,300+ in needed repairs, ranging from filters, headlights, and wipers, to faulty air conditioning. The reason I didn’t take off more stars is they’re making the repairs. I recommend selling and buying from them. Make sure a quality mechanic does an inspection afterwards.
Update 10/25/24: I had a problem with vibration over 60 MPH. I took it to Toyota and for their minimum fee of $219.00 incl. tax, found out that all four tires were out of balance and a wheel was "bent". I took the receipt into Carmax and they refunded the Toyota bill and have ordered a new wheel. This is after owning the vehicle for five months, two months past their initial warranty and the extended warranty doesn't cover tires and wheels. I'm extremely happy with their response.

I HAD A GREAT SALES PERSON, GRACE, THAT SHOWED ME THE CAR THAT I HAVE BEEN WAITING TO BUY. SHE DID ALL THE PAPER WORK FOR ME SO I DIDN'T NEED TO GO TO DMV. SHE TOOK CARE OF THE MY MONEY AND IT WAS SO EASY. I WOULD RECOMMEND CARMAX TO ANYONE LOOKING FOR A CAR. THANK YOU GRACE.

Went in there expecting one car but ended up changing my mind. Throughout the entire process, the team there were very helpful and never pushy. They went with whatever I wanted to do no questions asked. Left there satisfied. If you need a new vehicle this location is the place to go.

Annoying. Try to upsell on multiple warranties again and again after I’d said no. Just like a typical used car buying experience but under an online wrapper.

We transferred a vehicle from out of state. It took twice as long to arrive as we were told. When it finally arrived, we were told you needed two days to inspect and prepare the vehicle for a test drive. When we were advised that it was ready for a test drive, we were told that there were no appointment openings for three days! All of this after explaining, up front, that we needed the vehicle quickly so as not to need to cancel a pending trip. Then on the trip I had to have the battery jumped! I assumed that your “125 point inspection” would have covered testing the battery. In the last few days we also discovered that the heater does NOT work. Again, “125 point inspection”!
All in all, not impressed…
Your folks are great at apologizing, but a bit short on actually solving the problems. You hire nice people. Unfortunately nice doesn’t get you all the way to the completion of the sale with a satisfied customer. If trucks were more readily available we probably would have walked away, never to return to your business.

Probably one of the worst selling experiences I have ever had. The person processing the paperwork did not know what they were doing. I had texted with one party from CarMax about the details of the purchase, then when we showed up the type of payment was totally different. We also had to sign documentation that allows CarMax to share our personal information with their affiliates. I asked to be placed on their opt-out list but the "manager" Grace, told me there was no way to do this and I needed to go sell my car someplace else if I didn't like it. Sonny, the person doing the paperwork was lost through the entire process and laughed at me when I asked about direct deposit for payment (the person texting me told me this was an option) and said CarMax was not a bank. Two hours later we walked out of the place. I have made car purchases much faster than this. I would suggest selling your car someplace other than CarMax. Untrained employees that do not call you by your name, we were called "Friend" for two hours and way too long of a process for what it is worth. They want all of your personal information and give you no option to not have that information shared.

The employees were great. The process was very stress free. I was disappointed that the car was not detailed inside as promised when I picked up. They only washed the outside.

Very simple process and I am pleased with the quality. The only downside was I had to spend a lot of time sitting and waiting, but that was because I didn't have an appointment, so make an appointment.
