Man, I love reading the negative reviews on here and imagining how annoying they must’ve been to deal with. I’ve been going to this store for about 10 years now and it’s always the first call I make when I need to buy or sell. They are an inclusive space with extremely knowledgeable staff that have an expansive inventory of interesting gear. It’s nice just to stop in a see what they have stocked. Are they going to have what I need every time? No. Are they going to give me the price I want every time? No. But in terms of a hard working small business that has become part of the fabric of downtown Vancouver, they are always my first choice.

The staff is rude. Owner or Son or representative whoever he is is short and accusatory would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. Never will return there again.

Traded in some guitars awhile back and was happy with the compensation for trade in. Pain free experience. Guitar I traded some stuff in for was perfectly set up and haven't had any issues with it. Will be a repeat customer for life

Too many music shops are opening up that cater to the budget of blues lawyers but briz has stayed loyal to the price range of local gigging musicians while also keeping a great inventory. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and have only ever encouraged gear that would service me rather trying to sell me something I don't want/need. There is always new stuff in the shop so I highly recommend checking it out whenever you get the chance.

Terrible uncompassionate robetic and rude do not recommend trading gear in here or pawning apparently unless you are toothless and have drug problem and willing to accept a loss on someone else's gear they will argue in circles then admit that your guitar is the right one but get mad cause you won't accept their offer of 500 for a 2500 instrument... Last time I will do business here.Edit to the business response:As for the kazoo comment they left them there as they know to not take what isn’t theirs.I will gladly pay for what they don’t have please let me know what your PayPal or credit card options for your Chinese plastic kazoos.My kids minded themselves very well while in your store touching nothing but a box of colorful kazoos, please buy all means do inventory on them, all of this and that is all you have to say….I left upset you tried to tell me the guitar which I have documentation literally in the pocket of the guitar case as to model stating it was 2500 dollar guitar from Sweetwater and was not a model 1100 less in value you tried to base your value off. then when corrected, and pulled up not only sweetwater, guitar center and strandberg itself you get puffy tell me I dunno basically accuse me of selling counterfeits or something cause you can't handle getting caught being wrong, then proceed angerly spin your screen around and you found the one and only model guitar,mind you it was broken and included no case, on eBay that sold for 1200 plus 100 shipping to try and prove and justify you being wrong, when literal 100s of other reverb and eBay ads place it at 1500-1800 used value… of which you did not value search and only keyword searched Boden and got caught in lying.That along with your response to this review is appalling and speaks volumes to your character as a business and I will be sure to let everyone I know locally how you treat people. Sorry your ego got in the way cause you run a music store and do not know your instruments nor resources to base value instead you expect the person to be okay with the lowest possible value in hopes they don’t return unless for the buy low cartel mindset. It’s fine when it’s fair, it’s not when you get caught lying and then proceed to show me the same model I’m selling on your computer screen instead of the lesser value model you were trying to get me to accept sales value for.Edit 2.0I reposted once because you decided to try and hide this review I'm talking to others I'm not the only one. I wonder how many other reviews you have hidden because they did not fit your rating. Your childlike responses and belittling speak volumes. Just because you could not get over on me because I am not a drug addict or a thief you decide to get an attitude instead. It's okay guitar was sold for my asking price two days later and was confirmed to be the one that I showed you not the lower end on you tried to pass it off as and get caught on your own screen on eBay. Maybe know the products that you were selling if you were going to run a store and maybe not accuse a customer's young children as being thieves. Good to know that you know after 8 years of being a customer I never have to step foot in your establishment again.Consumer warning:I'm all for small business just not this business proceed with caution

Visited from out of town a few weeks ago and I never pass up a pawnshop. This place is clean and organized with friendly staff! Tons of quality music gear!
