If there was a lower star I'd give a -3. So I hardly ever leave reviews but when I do they are juicy. It was a little past 3.. 3:42 pm to be exact. This older gentleman with long hair and an untrimmed beard looks like he sleeps into about 1:00 pm every day rolling out his mattress with no box spring in his mom's basement. Ok now that we have a good picture of this man it's about the business he conducted with a paying customer I brought in an old box of magic cards "I have no idea about them or their worth let alone how many there are" so moms basement guy asked my name and a good phone number and he tries to get me to sign this piece of paper that holds your cards for 24 hours I'm like can I look through them and count them maybe look them up? He got angry with me for asking that. Saying this is not how it's done mind you there are three huge long tables with 40 seats and two guys are sitting in there and he wouldn't let me sit down and count my cards definitely would say it's a potential scam or get ripped off. I called before I headed over here to the bat cave more like the mom's basement cave I suppose it should be called I definitely wouldn't leave your cards there overnight this guy had creepy Vibes like he has fake ones in his back pocket and thinking someone would bring in that one and trade them out don't recommend it

First visit will be my last. I could ignore the event costing $10 more than other shops. I could forgive the fairly cold, bordering on rude, first introduction by staff. But when the kids get yelled at for daring to talk when staff was making an announcement.. About a game.. that's supposed to be fun. Nahhhh.

Took my 8yr daughter here to learn how to play Pokemon. I couldn’t be more grateful to have had Professer Slowbro teach her! He was very patient (with both of us) and extremely helpful! She learned a lot and can’t wait to play on her own!

I’ve been coming here for years. I’m so happy I’ve been able to move my in person D&D games back to the store. Online gaming was fun, but it’s not the same.
Now that I’ve gotten back into Magic, the gathering the staff has been helping me to learn everything that’s changed since 1997.

I frequent the Batcave and it’s such a great LGS in a town with not many to offer. Cyndle and Justin in particular are both extremely personable and go out of their way to make me feel welcome and not just feel like another customer. I feel like I can banter with employees here the same way I can with my friends and single prices are always fair. A local business well worth supporting.

I tried to talk to the multi hair-colored associate and all I got was nope the whole time, no personality. Will never be back in the shop, they lost their chance to get my money. I run card shows in portland and will tell every shop and customer not to go to batcave games ever, waste of time.

Unfortunately, this is the shop that has the most inventory for Magic the gathering cards in Vancouver. The reason why I say, unfortunately as well some of the staff are amazing Mostly shout out to the Sunday crew. there are other staff members Who are constantly disrespectful To players and make this place a toxic environment. I’m getting to the point where I’d rather or order online then support my local store due to staff members disrespect and refuse to serve or help or treat others with human dignity. Customer should not be treated as Any inconvenience when they’re trying to buy the Store product. The only sense of improvement I could recommend is the employee with the red highlights should never work with customer service, and should only work in inventory because they do not know how to treat another human kindly.

I have been coming to Bat Cave for almost a decade. It continues to be my go to store for mtg and Board games. I appreciate Matt and his group continued drive to make it a shop were everyone feels welcome to grow in their hobby. Everyone is more than amazing when you need help, but Sky's enthusiasm when trying to upgrade or build decks is always a delight. When anyone ask me were to go for their gaming needs I tell them batcave.

We travel from Portland to play Commander style Magic the Gathering here on Sundays and it is always worth the trip.

Very kind and attentive staff. Good selection overall with extra binders of pokemon cards (and likely more) behind the counter if you ask.

It was pretty good, a little overpriced but good, planning on getting them to buy $207 worth of cards (it's only 11 different cards)

Pretty fun shop. Decent space for playing games and TCG events. The prices are a bit higher than most shops but overall the shop is good. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming.

I love coming here; it’s one of my go-to game stores, and the people here are awesome. The girl with the colored hair is always so knowledgeable when it comes to Pokémon/Magic cards and is always really chill. When it comes to magic nights, it’s a great place to hang out and make some new friends. Also, when selling cards here, I’ve always been given a good price whether choosing in-store credit or cash. I definitely would recommend this store to my friends and others.
