I have the unfortunate pleasure of meeting the owner who was rude California interested to talk to me if I was buying something. Their prices are exorbitant and I encourage you to go elsewhere anywhere for that matter, because I guarantee it's cheaper and there's other options. Parkrose Hardware also has a overpricing issue. At least they're friendly and kind.

This is the worst Ace Hardware around here. I have never walked into an ace hardware like this one and no one knows what a wafer key is. No one knows what their policy is on returns. If you ask somebody where a tool is they don't even know what you're talking about they have zero clue on what they're doing. They're just simply a body at a cash register to take your money. It's almost like this store should just have an automated system where you go and find everything yourself because no one is to any use. I would highly recommend going somewhere else don't even know how or why this place is in business here. I had to give it one star to send this review, and I don't even think it deserves a quarter of a star.

I see I am not the only person giving this store a poor review. If you like friendly customer service avoid this store. The owners are not friendly and can even be rude. Their attitude rubs of on the employees. This Ace isn't the place with the helpful hardware man. I miss the other Ace store that was close to my home with the pleasant helpful staff. From now on I will spend the extra time driving to the Main Street Ace Hardware store.

I've gave this store the benefit of the doubt for over four years in regards to their customer service, but I just can't ignore it anymore. Whoever hires here is absolutely braindead. They hire the most useless, arrogant, rude employees I've ever seen at a hardware store. It's a total joke. The main street location, and the Battle Ground location have great customer service and knowledgeable employees. This has been consistent across the board too for well over 3years. ParkRose Hardware is way better as well. The Salmon Creek location has two types of employees: old crotchety people who think everyones trying to rip them off or trying to hurt their ego by asking a question and or obnoxious annoying young people that just sit at the cash register and do nothing but act silly and know nothing about any of the products they carry. They have no sense of urgency in checking people out either. There is one old grey haired/white haired guy who is good but that's it. I spend $1000s at Ace and they should treat their loyal customers better.

Funny little hardware store in a great location. Staff is nice and knowledgeable. This visit, I was there for auto licensing service. That was fast and efficient with no waiting.

Should really think about removing the "curbside pickup" signs from the two best parking spots... I've never seen anyone parked there waiting for a pickup, seems all you're doing is making the parking issue worse.

Ace is the place where unhappy disgruntled workers go. They have two people (one woman and one man) who do not belong in anything related to customer service. I would estimate that this store looses 50% of its sales because of these two people. They huff when asked questions, they point in a direction and send you wandering. They give you dirty looks and treat you like you are bothering them. They also hire 16 year olds that do their best, but they are not being trained in anything but how to ring things in the register. Don't dare try to return something without your receipt because you are a criminal by default. I rarely give piss poor reviews, but it's mind-boggling to me that this place survives.

Ace usually has what the big box stores don’t have. Like a better stainless steel fastener selection. They usually feel like a old comfortable hardware store, this place feels with it’s layout like a auto parts store.Really surprised to see what looks like a DMV at the back of the store.A nice lady there was easy to talk to, but it was the middle of the work day and I had to get going. The old man at the register talk to me in a way that elevated him and put me down, but that’s the way some people are.

Very helpful people in here. Some neat odd items you don't find everywhere. Prices seem decent as well

They have a good selection and service has improved -more employees on the floor to help find things. Way more convenient than big box stores for small items.

Absolutely horrible customer service! The manager "Lu" is dismissive and talks down to you when questions are asked. I needed a product and had my anxious labradoodle with me. I brought him in with me on a tight leash, and asked the store manager where to find the product, he looked right at me and my dog and said "back there". I went to the counter and a younger female came around the corner and said with an attitude "do you need something?" I told her what I needed and my dog whimpered. She said "We don't allow pets in the store", I told her that I understand but talked with the store manager and he said nothing about my dog. In fact, he helped me last week and stood right next to him and said nothing. Another employee pet him. Four interactions and nothing was said and now it's a problem. I get policy, but a little consistency goes a long way. The conversation got escalated which ended up with me walking out after I lost my cool after being spoken to like a child by what I can only assume is a high school student. I did lose my cool after she threatened to refuse service, but everytime I've been in this store, the attitude and horrible customer service increases.

Let's ignore for a second that just about everything you buy from an Ace hardware is destined to break within a few years. Today my wife walked into the store looking for a matched set of locks for our mailbox and the guy who helped her was a control freak, insisting on matching them for her instead of letting her browse the locks herself. What she came home with was two individual locks that don't have matching keys. I thought the whole point of Ace hardware was that these people were supposed to be helpful. It wasn't very long ago that I was scolded by the cashier for not rounding up my purchase for charity. I guess nobody told her that these companies get tax breaks for donating to charity using OUR dollars instead of putting in their own. Shameful behavior. Ace Hardware is an unfortunately lackluster business and I hate to keep patronizing them, yet I find myself returning again and again. Congratulations, Ace.
