I’ve been coming here for years, I’ve donated a lot of items as well but recently I’ve been going in and the prices have just been outrageous for a thrift store. I’ve been seeing things from dollar tree being priced for $5 candles without wicks or small candles for $8.50 even clothes you can buy in generally any store for $15 to $25 not even name brand?! Even when I’ve donated recently they said they can’t accept certain items because, they weren’t pristine?! I’m confused because, I’ve seen the same exact item priced in the store that looked thrashed. As well as saying they can’t take “glass tables” yet they had two in the store previously?! Who’s running the show here because, things just aren’t adding up. Why are your prices so high and why all of a sudden can you not take items that you’ve been taking in for years?! I find it ridiculous that you can’t even go to a thrift store and leave without paying over $20 for two items. I’ve had so many rude encounters with the employees there too. I wouldn’t recommend going here to anyone if anything the river road Value village is a step up from this place. I won’t be going back anymore.

Very last time I will be going to this value village.
Had another problem before but now I will not be going/ donating here any longer.
Went in today just wanted to buy one part of something and the price was $5.49 for both as a (set) but when I asked they said $7 something when the whole set was $5.49? I am done then tried to say the price on it was suppose to be scanned twice? It did not say that at all on the TAG? And then you are saying it would be $14 or $15 something for the set now? Yeah no, will not be doing any shopping her no longer nor donating ? I use to go everyday but not no more. My friend was also with me and is going to do a bad review as well

Please fire the tall, mean lady emoloyee (or manager?) She is a PSYCHO, or having a mental issue.
I recently went shopping at Value Village on 19th Street. It was Tuesday, and it's Senior Day. I am 70 year old.
I was about to pay for two items and told very tall old lady that I am a senior and would like a discount. I showed her my USA passport, which it was easier to pull out of my wallet.
She got angry and loudly said she couldn't see where the birthday was. I said, “You have eyes on you, don't you?
She got very angry and started to argue with me. She yelled at me to leave immediately. She also say, "You don't have to purchase from this store" huh??
What made her so angry? I wanted to leave right away because I felt that I got harassed, but I could pull out my driver's license, which I showed her.
Is this the way to treat a customer? I thought this woman has a major mental problem, or maybe she doesn't like Asians.
We are your customers, but we are also valuable donors to your company.
This tall, arrogant, mean, middle-aged (or, she is maybe a senior citizen) female has no appreciation for either the customer or the donor.
I am an immigrant from Japan and have been an American citizen for almost 40 years. Wherever I go when I return to Japan, I always receive courteous service.
Also in Japan, second hand stores do not sell donated items, they buy them and sell them with very reasonable prices. Even so, the customer service and attitude are very courteous.
I would like to aske to them: Do you train your employees on how to treat customers?
I was truly appalled by this high-handed female employee / manager(?) and I never want to go back to this store again until she is gone from that store. She was very rude for no reason.
P.S. Went to Ross after I had this terrible experience, and felt better after I purchased 2 clothes even I could into fitting room to check if these clothes fit me or not. Also the employees are very polite to customer.

At this point, Value Village should just remove the "Value" from it's name. The prices are outrageous, they have yet to bring the fitting rooms option back, and you now also have to be a checker when it's time to pay. Without trying things on, you are forced to take them home and if they don't fit, they won't refund your money - only exchange - so they're keeping your $$ either way. In most cases, it's cheaper to drive the fifteen minutes to ROSS or TJMAXX and buy new items than pay the prices VV is wanting. No thank you. I also won't donate here anymore because it's not a community value add. I take my items to St. Vincent de Paul.

Kristen at Value Village is an absolute gem! Every time I visit, she goes above and beyond to make sure I have a great shopping experience. Her friendliness and willingness to help with anything I need are truly exceptional. I've seen her handle busy times with grace and always with a smile. Kristen is knowledgeable about the store's products and can always point me in the right direction.
What stands out most about Kristen is her genuine care for customers. Whether I'm looking for something specific or just browsing, she takes the time to engage and offer assistance. She remembers regular customers and makes everyone feel welcome. It's clear she loves what she does, and it shows in her interactions with both customers and colleagues.
Kristen is also incredibly efficient and organized. Even when the store is busy, she manages to keep things running smoothly. She has a keen eye for detail, ensuring the store is tidy and items are well-displayed. Her positive attitude is infectious, and she creates a pleasant shopping environment for everyone.
On multiple occasions, I've witnessed Kristen handle difficult situations with patience and professionalism. She remains calm under pressure and always finds a way to resolve issues to everyone's satisfaction. Her problem-solving skills are impressive, and she never hesitates to go the extra mile to ensure customers leave happy.
In summary, Kristen is a real asset to Value Village. Her exceptional customer service, work ethic, and positive attitude make shopping there a pleasure. Highly recommend seeking her out if you need assistance!

Traveled 2 hours to go to this store. Employees are rude, cut in front of you and push there way around the store, if you want anything in lock up good luck, the person at the counter sits on the computer and ignores people.

I used to love coming here but the last few times I’ve noticed that the prices are sky rocketing. For a company that receives all of the items for free, it’s ridiculous to charge $15 for a well worn dress from shein. Frankly ruins the accessibility of shopping secondhand.

honestly i loved this place but.. in the last two months their prices have pretty much doubled and there selection isnt good enough for that. i assume they hired new people since the employees are in charge of pricing the items but sad to see the last good priced store is getting priced out.

NO dressing rooms, and if the clothes don't fit, NO refunds. You can only exchange them for other clothes you're not allowed to try on. What kind of business model is that?!

I have bought some great items here but the clothes I like are usually too much but occasionally I find clothes at a discount with a coupon. I hate to say this but some of the staff are really rude and unprofessional. I had to talk to the manager a few times about this bad behavior. Since I had complained about them they accused me of stealing as their only recourse to get back at me. The staff started following me around like I was going to steal something. I would never steal from anyone or any store. I have donated and spent a lot of money there and to be disrespected is shameful.
