A lot of hidden charges they don't tell until after it's done and then you are forced paying whatever charges and work that they have put on there. They lied on the coupon and did NOT complete the inspection as they said they would. Definitely do not recommend

Today I was on my way to work when my tire pressure light went on. I drove directly to Precision Tune Auto Care and the gentleman standing outside helped me immediately. I asked if they adjust tire pressure there and he said yes and immediately filled each tire! I asked to pay him and he said "No charge." Thank you to the man outside and give him a raise!!! :) This was at 9am Wednesday May 24th.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Called to see if I can get some wheel spacers and caliper covers installed same day. Female who picked up the phone went to check twice and 2nd time never came back. On hold for 25 mins for a simple answer.

Called …..requested a quote for an oilChange . The girl that answered the phone did not have a clue on pricing. Sent me to someone else who happened to be the actual owner . Pleasant interaction but also did not apparently have a clue . Proceeds to tellme he will have his manager call me before the end of the day . 3 days later I get a call and I had already taken the car elsewhere .I get that people get busy and such but …..?I am reluctant to give a low review because I never was granted service …..so trying to be fair with my experience .

Dropped off car because I needed a jump to start my car all the time. They advised they would check alternator, battery, and starter. Final diagnostic was that I only needed a new battery. Fair price for battery, labor, and diagnostic. Friendly staff.

I have been going to Precision Tune in University Place for 6+ years now. I moved here from out of state and they have been my mechanic ever since. Would give zero stars. This place has gone downhill since changing ownership. New owner is rude to customers and will not honor advertised specials. Charged my family for a diagnostic that was not requested. Find somewhere else, anywhere else. We will welcome any efforts to make this right but it does not seem like that is going to happen.

The couple people I spoke to here were very nice, answered all my questions, gave me time to think over my options, and kindly gave my keys to a tow truck driver for me when I decided to take it elsewhere.
My car was originally towed here after it just stopped accelerating while I was driving. It was a Saturday afternoon and nowhere nearby was open but Precision, and they said I could bring it by for them to look at Monday. I called them just before closing time on Monday since I hadn't heard back. The guy said my transmission needed rebuilt and quoted $6500 + tax, or he could call around for a used one to replace it with (which Google tells me is not a wise investment). I said I needed time to think about it, so I called about a dozen other shops.
To my surprise, even the dealerships were only quoting $5000, a couple transmission shops were $4300-$4700. I ended up going with Transmission Sales and Service in Tacoma who did it for $3500 + tax - and my experience there was great. My fiancé gets his oil changed at Precision, and likes them for that so maybe just call around if you have a big repair. That $3000 made a huge difference for me and my emergency fund. They also charged me a $173.09 diagnostic fee. I've never been charged a diagnostic fee at any other mechanic I've been to (though I usually go to small 1-man shops rather than chains), so that really added salt to the wound on what was already a very stressful event. Overall, I don't feel confident that this is the best place to spend my money unfortunately.
