“Stopped in for some lunch on a recent weekday. We had checked out the place previously and the food looked good. I had the prime dip sandwich and it was perfect. Tender prime on a homemade bun with delicious au jus that tasted like it came directly from the prime drippings. It was yummy. Wife had the chowder and we give it a mixed review. It was hardy and full of clams and veggies but seemed to lack chowder taste. I liked, wife not so much. We bought a blueberry muffin, lemon bar and a brownie. All were very good. Kathy was our host and prepped our order and she was friendly and professional. We enjoyed our lunch on the porch of the store and took in the view. Check Union Country Store out but they do get busy at times.”
