My daughter is transitioning from "kid" clothes to more teenage/nice clothes for middle school, but has been hesitant due to being unsure what she'd like for outfits. On a whim I took her into AE to see if there's anything she'd like. Being a 41 year old guy, yeah, I was lost, so I asked for help. In stepped Brooke. She didn't treat my daughter awkwardly but totally dived into a shopping experience with my daughter, asking her questions about herself and her likes, to ensure what they found actually worked for my daughter. I was thoroughly impressed not just with the customer service from Brooke, but the ability to recognize a shy, young girl being unsure of herself, then helping that girl feel real confidence in herself. I help run a company that works with people daily and I would hire Brooke in a heartbeat. Brooke, if you read this, thank you for being amazing and for making my daughter feel confidence in her appearance.

Selena is so rude and made me so angry just like 90% of the other employees, I’d say there are about 3 employees that are kind and have great customer service. Normally love this store but from my interaction today I won’t be coming back.

I highly recommend never purchasing anything from American Eagle’s app or website. I purchased three items, went back to view the order later and there was no record of it and the items were still in my cart. Given that I didn’t have great service when I made the purchase I assumed that it didn’t go through and repurchased the items. I now have 6 of the exact same items coming and my card was double charged and they are unable to cancel the order because I called over an hour after I made the purchase. It was two minutes past the hour and the only reason it took that long is because the incompetent customer service person I spoke with first took 20 minutes to transfer me. This is an issue because I used a credit card for the purchase. Their store card. The order is now over half my credit limit and is going to go on my statement because I don’t know when I’m going to get the items much less return them. And they won’t do anything about it. Can’t even get ahold of customer service for the card itself. I’m a college student trying to get into a house and cannot have any dents on my credit at all. It won’t even let me pay it off, so there’s literally nothing I can do and apparently they’re worthless. I’d give zero stars if I could. Will never purchase anything from their website or app ever again and I will be cancelling my card.

Tried to call this place but after machine picks up and hearing about going on line to reserve an item, they ask you to hold for next available associate but then hangs up! Please check this out.
