I don’t really have much experience doing business with a pawn shop, outside of selling some tools I don’t use anymore to one of the chain stores recently. It wasn’t an awful experience, but it wasn’t a good one either. The atmosphere at Tumwater Pawn Brokers is just different. It has vibe you don’t really see much anymore and it’s definitely attributed to the 2 guys running it, and the 4 very well mannered dogs behind the counter. Those 2 guys are honest, fair and friendly and hold good conversation. I ended up spending more time talking to them than doing any business and enjoyed the time I spent there.

Dropped in here for the first time, I had read the reviews but still figured there would need to be some haggling, now I've been to a few other pawn shops in the area and some are better than others sure, but compared to here? nope, none of that. Was strait up and more than fair with pricing. I was honestly surprised. I will certainly be back and would recommend to anyone.

These guys were GREAT!n got more than i expected, i researched Pawn shops and they were the only one with 5 star reviews and they definitely held up on that rating. I will definetly be going back to them when i need to.

These guys are the best!!! Only pawn shop I'll ever use agian even though I have to drive over 30 miles to get here. ... and I haven't even officially done business with them yet. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! 21/10!

Awesome staff and best prices for items in town. No lowballing when pawning items there. Cash America was only willing to give 60 for a series x 1tb for pawn and these folks here at Tumwater offered 150 off the bat for pawn. Skip cash America and travel the extra few miles if you want a much more reasonable price on your items. Better atmosphere as well

This is the best place in town these guys are honest, kind , and will help you. Whereever they can this is the only shop I'll deal with because these guys have integrity and that's what matters.... Again best shop in town glad to be know these fellas

Not a fan of Pawn Shops due to the bad mojo that is attached to all the items sold in them ... aka people need money badly to come in one of these joints.
With that being said, I would never go to any other Pawn Shop in the county bc these guys were polite, knowledgeable and give very fair amounts for items pawned with them. They even called me to remind me my pawned item was coming off pawn so I could buy it before the public... which I did!?!
I hate why these joints are needed but Tumwater Pawn is the only fair pawn shop in all of Thurston County IMHO!?;

The Owner is a great person. He's fair with the prices. I have gone there many times. I bought so many dvds and a guitar. Just a nice place to go, he also has tools and game (play stations). BARNEY is a great guy. I always enjoyed spending time talking to him. I hope that he still remembers me, I used to go in and buy lots of dvds and when it was time for me to leave the area I left him some Stine's and a chair masseger(? Spelling). Will be back to see you all this summer!

Sad when they sell stuff like Ryobi 18" battery operated for 350.00 when you can purchase same thing from Amazon etc for 159.00.I was just there thier prices way over priced when I can get stuff 1/2 thier price off line

They are great. More than fair. Good people. They have become my go to place when I need the services they can provide. Weather it is to barrow, buy something they might have (they are the first place I check when shopping for things) or to transfer a firearm. I trust them and they have been awesome. Can't say enough good about them. I have been in the store when people flipped out (probably some bad reviews from those people), and it was because they where trying to get big money for something that was broken (or trash) that no one would buy if the shop was trying to sell it. But having said that, I have watched him buy broken things (I would never buy), to fix and resell them. But the price reflected the repairs required. So they will work with people. And that's awesome.
