Always a pleasure with these guys. :) Outstanding! I expected a massive amount of work to be needed, but nothing other than an oil change and solid info about the other issues (which turned out to not really be the issues I thought they were). I will always take my car here, these guys really are great & honest!

Honest, dependable, knowledgeable, and friendly. Have had several different kinds of maintenance done and have always felt well taken care of. They listen well and always explain in layman's terms, giving you all the options up front. No surprises, always excellent, prompt service. I highly recommend!

Seems since they sold to new owner..all they want is money...I have had nothing but issues with my car since taking it here. First time in February my car died out of no where.took it in..told me I needed a new altinator and battery but check engine light was on after. Said to come back so it could read the issue. They told me I needed to change out all 4 ignition coils and that was the issue. After that a month later check engine light came on reading the same thing as before i got it fixed. They couldn't see anything else wrong with it. After months of back and forth I decided to take my car to the toyota dealership They looked at it within minutes told me it was my head gasket that it had blown and don't understand how tumwater couldnt see that.Tumwater told me they would have to do a deep dive and hours of exploring to figure out the cause. Wasted 1,400 dollars and honestly I don't trust tumwater automotive judgment on cars..seems they want you to come back and keep spending money rather than being up front. I'm very disappointed and will NEVER recommend this place to anyone..

Go to Les Schwab, they won't charge you a diagnostic fee to tighten a few loose lugs on a job previously done by them. Oh wait they didn't charge me to tighten lugs, they charged me for the test drive or at least that's what the manager said. Thank you for tightening my lugs and stealing money out of my pockets.

We needed to find a mechanic in 2018, and I am so grateful we found Tumwater Automotive! The first thing I looked for was that they are AAA Approved Auto Repair, and all their technicians are ASE certified. They are a family owned small business, and their customer service is excellent. I brought my Subaru to them for several years and was always satisfied with their reasonable prices.
We then purchased a single-owner Nissan Xterra and she had always taken it to the dealership, so we figured that was what we should also do. I will never make that mistake again.
When recently the local dealership informed me that it would be $10,000 to "fix" my vehicle, I was distraught- my Xterra is a 2012, so that steep of a bill isn't reasonable to pay. They stated one of the multiple repairs was the head gasket, which is pricey.
Well, we brought the Xterra to Tumwater Automotive to see if we could get a better price on this list of repairs.
Imagine my shock and amazement when we received a call from Tumwater Auto that there were NO REPAIRS that needed to be done!!! And I had been thinking I'd have to trade in my beloved Xterra to the dealership due to such expensive repairs! (they had been trying to purchase it for some time).
THANK YOU so very much, Tumwater Auto, for your honesty, integrity, and excellent service. I will NEVER again make the mistake of bringing my vehicles to anyone but you!

We have used the services at this location several times. It is now under new management. Before and after the changes we have had excellent customer service. Work completed on time and estimated expense very close to actual price.

We’ve brought our vehicles here for years and get amazing service each time. They are kind and compassionate, and provide excellent, quality, and affordable fixes. We’ve moved out of Tumwater and started going other places but quickly learned Tumwater Automotive is the absolute best. In the future, we will make the trip every time one of our vehicles needs something.

It was easy to get an appointment. They had a driver that could take me home and pick me up when the car was ready. The mechanic called when it was ready. Very pleasant experience.
