My gf and I needed a new toy for target practice, and Kyle in the archery department gave us the best customer service we've received in years! He informed us about different types of bows, arrows, and even trimmed us some custom length arrows for our new recurve bow! I'd highly recommend this guy for your archery needs!

The store is fantastic. I mostly deal with the fishing department though and I don't think any of that staff actually fishes. Their knowledge is limited at best. Also when stopping on my way in to pick up things like line on my way to the water (things I could get cheaper two doors down at Walmart) I end up having to stop at Walmart anyway for some basics they don't carry. So other than atmosphere, why am I going to Cabela's to begin with?

Large store 0 customer service. Not a single a employee around to tell you where anything is. Waste of space. Management is trash.

Tim and David (I hope those are their names) were some of the best employees we’ve ever been helped by, ANYWHERE. Came in to buy a very specific kayak that we had been looking at online but they both gave us some very-needed, knowledgeable advice and helped us settle on an even more perfect kayak ~ Ascent 10T ~ + accessories for LESS than the original price. Answered any questions that my ADHD boyfriend had, brought a couple down for us to look at, engaged in humorous though professional conversation (everyone needs a Muscle Lisa shirt) , and even convinced me to get a member card (which I recommend everyone does) which turned out to be the best recommendation ever!

If you try price matching in this store forget it. If it's on sale somewhere else that they say they price match they won't match a sale. So expect to pay MSRP. Cause anything under that is a sale price. I tried price matching Scheels on a pair a Keen sandals. Left store without them and called online in their parking lot and wow cabelas 800 number had no problem price matching the sale price at Scheels. I declined the price match and placed my order with Scheels. Nowhere in the restrictions does it say anything other than black Friday sales.
