I learned so much at the barista academy! Paulo and Bob are so insightful and have years of knowledge! They hold back nothing when it comes to the coffee game. If your interested in coffee/business, this is the place you need to be learning.

I just finished the program yesterday and I'm completely blown away. I honestly feel indebted to the staff because I'm so grateful for what I learned. This course saved me probably $50k in mistakes that I probably would have made. I absolutely loved the program and I would consider it to be malpractice to open a coffee shop and not go through this program, regardless of industry experience. Bob, Paulo and Alex are industry titans recognized for their talents on a national and even international level. I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to learn from them. As an added benefit, the staff is just really cool, genuine and passionate about what they do. They are invested in building you up and seeing you become successful. That is very rare find in this world.I suffer from ADD and social anxiety when I'm in new environments and the staff made this program very welcoming and put me at ease. They offer a paid-for-group lunch every day, that I declined all five days because I had to work and mentally reset. Nobody gave me a hard time about it. I really appreciated that level of respect they gave me. If I can do this program, anyone can. There is no doubt that my classmates and the staff bonded together and we all departed on such a high note, wishing each other the best. I'm seriously going to frame and hang my diploma next to my MBA on the shelf. I just feel good about associating myself with such good people that are enormously talented and helpful. I find it inspiring to work with fellow risk-taking entrepreneurs that have the courage to chase their dreams as small business owners. I really look forward to crossing paths with the staff and my classmates down the road.My closing words: It is a tough academic/hands-on-learning week. Nothing worthwhile in life comes easy. This class is no exception. Get a good night's rest on every night and skip the happy hour. Stay hydrated and take notes. Don't do what I did, and eat lunch. You are going to be so proud of yourself for taking this class and putting yourself in a better position to succeed as a coffee shop owner.

I can’t speak highly enough of Seattle Barista Academy. The training here is top notch. Paulo, Bob, and Oscar should be at the top of your list if you are trying to enter the coffee industry. From hands on training, to post graduation advice, they are there to support you and are truly invested in your success.

I went to SBA for the 5 day professional barista & operations training and it was a wonderful experience! SBA is very welcoming & non-intimidating. I went into it as a beginner and by the end of the first day I knew I made the right choice coming here. It’s a great learning environment and everyday is filled with so much fun & knowledge. I loved every single day! Thank you so much SBA for all you taught me and for igniting a deeper passion in me for coffee :) I also made some amazing, like-minded friends! Couldn't recommend enough.

I don't come here for the coffee. I get the Tiki Breeze fruit fushions and the Clear Energy for my caffeine fix. I can't do high fructose, so I mix their lemonade with the fruit fushions in a large jug. Some pumps of caffeine added to the glass and I'm good to go. I email my order and great staff to work with when we pick it up in person.

Full disclosure - I actually came in to this place by mistake and, as the wise Bob Ross once said, there are no mistakes, just happy little accidents. It seemed that I interrupted their opening ceremony by awkwardly asking if they served coffee. Alex at the front was probably the most friendly and knowledgeable person I’ve ever met in the coffee domain. Although I did not partake in any sort of class or instruction that morning, I did learn that they offer plenty in that arena and also uniquely a course that teaches you the A to Z of starting your own coffee shop business.This will be a great place to do a date night or something even for those who are remotely interested in the thousands of ways you can prepare coffee.Given the time I could have chatted all day with the friendly fella. Needless to say it was a great way to kick off my family vacation!

Went for a Latte Art 3 hour training class, learned a lot and had a great time! You can drink the lattes you make, so be ready to have your fill of caffeine if you want it. Highly recommended!

We arranged for six of our executives to attend a 3-hour barista class at Seattle Barista Academy. The team had a great time! Bob, the owner of Seattle Barista Academy was so helpful and accommodating when making arrangements for the team. These executives are not in the coffee industry, but in the tech industry. This was a great team building event! Paulo was the instructor and he made the class fun and informative. The executives had a blast!

If you are like me who had no coffee or barista knowledge/ experience then the Seattle Barista Academy is the place to be! It was the best choice I ever made to learn about the beautiful world of Coffee. I live in New York City and traveled across the country to be a part of this amazing experience, it definitely exceeded my expectations! Paulo, Bob, Hanna and the SBA staff are a loving and caring family who really worry about their students understanding what coffee is all about. Definitely came out with so much added value. I am going back home with the skills, knowledge and confidence to open up my own cafe. Thank you SBA!!!

We attended the five day class because we are starting a chain of coffee/drink shops. I cannot envision embarking on such an endeavor without us attending this class. I will predict that we will look upon our experience with the Seattle Barista Academy as the best investment we ever made in the coffee business! Our instructors were outstanding and the course content was current and relevant. It felt that not a minute of a five period was wasted. If you're going into the coffee business, partner with these guys!

My fiancée attended the one week program offered here and she was blown away with the quality, detail, and breadth of knowledge she gained. She was taught all the facets of operating and working in a coffee shop, she was provided with multiple spiral-bound books that she could keep for reference, and she was taken with the class around Seattle to get a behind-the-scenes look at the coffee business. She talked about the teacher with high regards.
