We should not live in a disposable world.I needed a repair estimate for my TV for my warranty provider and I don't have a repair shop within 200 miles. TV City was able to take my information, pictures, and video of my problem and get me a written repair estimate for my warranty provider. “The store and the tech were great. The experience with Asurion was a nightmare. The manager Fox and other techs were all actually good at following up where they could be expected to. They also didn't have the tools to help with the insurance side. They had the parts and honestly thought it was going to be 2 hours and not 60 from start to finish.
Asurion took a 2 hour screen repair and first by having the only look up being my phone number which had been recorded in the account with an incorrect number, that the first 2 reps didn't even attempt to fix. I got the claim to the store after making an appointment with a rep. That claim botched and I had to call in. They canceled it but didn't say that was what they were doing and said they were fixing it. That was Friday. I had 2 events on Friday and Saturday that I wanted my phone for. It wasn't ready until I called on Monday and had to pay a second copayment and drive to my phone which I had taken to a store in Seattle because I was performing there but since it was after I left for the weekend I had to make an additional hour long drive pay an additional toll and buy another 1/2 tank of gas. I won't actively recommend people due business with Asurion but you have a monopoly on the cell phone insurance market so we have no choice”
