Just moved with Bekins from WA to Georgia and the company did a fantastic job. Mr. Warner was very responsive and walked me through the process and answered all my questions. The people who packed and moved my stuff did an amazing job and was very efficient. Would hire them again when I move

Just finalized a move with Bekins Northwest and could not be more pleased. Erica the manager was a pleasure to deal with, from the initial scheduling to rescheduling. Erica's professionalism, empathy and follow up was impeccable. The movers were very polite, considerate and went above and beyond to protect our goods during the transport to our new location.
I would highly recommend Bekins who was referred to me by a a very satisfied neighbor.
Definitely a 5 star rating!

Everyone was pleasant to work with, but communication was lacking or duplicated, leading to a frustrating experience. Examples:
- Sales Guy forgot to multiply one of the items on the quote by two. When they caught that mistake, I feel like they should have not charged us for the cost he left off. If you need another set of eyes to review your quotes, do it BEFORE I sign the contract.
- Sales Guy sent us a credit application to fill out. Unless we wanted to pay by credit card. OK, we'll pay by card. Then Manager tells us she can send us a link for us to pay or we can pay an extra 2.5% to use a credit card. Why didn't Sales Guy offer us all the options and explain the increased price for using a credit card?
- Sales Guy asked us multiple times and I responded multiple times that we hoped they'd show up about 9a the day of the move. Then I get an email from Manager asking what time they should show up. THEN it turns out we can't unload until later in the day, so they recommended not starting until noon. If we shouldn't start until noon, why did you keep asking me what time you should show up?
- Sales Guy included all the TVs in the inventory (not all in one place on the inventory but they were all there). The day before the move, they want to know if we want boxes for them and, if so, that's an extra fee. That conversation should have occurred BEFORE I signed the contract. They did end up supplying boxes at no extra charge.
- Apparently, someone underestimated the sized of truck needed. It took an extra two hours for the movers to finish loading the truck because they couldn't get everything on there and then they went to the wrong address. Rather than have us sit around for 2 hours wondering why our stuff isn't showing up, maybe communicate that there is an issue and let us help you prioritize. Some of us could have perhaps moved some of the stuff in our own cars.
No one was trying to be bad but it didn't seem as if the left hand knew what the right hand was doing. Also, if you make a mistake in calculating charges, don't surprise me with an extra charge later.

I felt pressured to leave a 5-star review at what I thought was the end of my move. Keep in mind I don't even own a lot of things and I did almost all of the packing myself. I was very specific in what was to be taken and what needed to be left. Had I not paid attention, All of my things would be gone, including my purse.
Sure, the guys were nice. I would be happy and nice too if someone did 99% of the packing for me. My items were not handled with care and communication was severely lacking.
The paperwork I signed was not explained to me, nor did I get a copy. I had a very in-depth video call with the person coordinating this move and so he and these movers should have known exactly what items I had, what was going to get moved, and what stayed with me.
I'm sitting here freezing because one of the guys was coughing a lot while he was in close quarters, with a huge gap in his mask because he wasn't wearing it properly, nor was it an N95.
To add insult to injury, one of the guys took the liberty of standing on one of my barstools with his shoes on, leaving dirty footprints.
Everyone kept touching everything (though I kept repeating myself that no, those items do not need to be packed). You'd think that since I did almost all of the work, they'd slow their roll.
Then I got a call where the guy was telling me I had the key to his truck. I did not. After a back and forth, he told me another guy had it. Shouldn't you check before troubling/accusing someone?
Ironically, one of HIS guys took my pen. I am so exhausted and times are extremely tough for me and a lot of people, so I originally gave him 5-stars but I'm not going to lie. I was told to just sit back and relax. I did anything but. This was after being on my feet for over 24 hours.
They stressed me out more than helped. Yes, they were nice, but I've seen other people's results from moving companies (and they had way more belongings, including furniture). This was far from that experience. I didn't have to pay for this and honestly, I would not have.
Again, they were nice, but nice has nothing to do with active listening and following instructions, especially when you know the other person (me) is sick, immunocompromised, and did most of the prep and packing. They literally just took what I put into temporary containers and threw them into huge boxes, piling things on top of my sentimental and irreplaceable items.
I'm updating this to one star since AGAIN, they took things I specifically asked them to leave, since I am moving out days at the end of the month and still need to clean. They took ALL of my reusable totes, including my insulated ones. For reference, they can all speak English just fine without an accent and theoretically understand it. They just don't listen and who knows what else is missing, since they were so busy grabbing all of my things with their dirty hands and throwing them into oversized boxes.
I can only imagine how much they charged for doing a horrible job. My belongings are too far away and I don't have enough time to go retrieve things that I specifically told them not to touch or take.
Do not hire them unless you want to pay to have extra stress and dirty things. Things that go missing, your sanitary items truined by someone who doesn't understand what left of the sink, on the counter and you pointing to the exact items means. They took everything from my counters and kept opening all of my bathroom and kitchen drawers, even after I told ALL of them what was going, which I consolidated into three drawers and left those drawers empty.
Lights are on but no one is home. It would take at least three, maybe four people to watch them like hawks of you don't need everything (including your purse, which could not be mistaken for anyth

The 3 guys were very nice. They worked well with each other and us. They were very safe and made sure that the fixtures were packed safely and marked with the product and the store it was to go to. A pleasure to work with.

All the people from Bekins I worked with were pleasant, responsive, respectful, hardworking, knowledgeable, and caring, esp. Crystal, David and Roland. Roland and his crew did a great job packing, loading and unloading. The unloading crew also worked very hard to place the furniture where I desired it in my new apartment. The unpacking crew also did. I will definitely recommend Bekins at any opportunity.
