Friendliest country store ever! Messaged and asked if they had nutmeg, they thought they did....they didn't, no biggie. They then went nextdoor to Not Doug's and got some nutmeg from them! I actually came here without a fleece cap (don't roll your eyes! ?), so got that and had to get a jar of Huckleberry Jam. Can't wait to try it. The people make the store.

The Aeneas Valley Store is someplace in the middle of nowhere. You might think so if you come from the city. The owners Doug and Rose are good people been around and know the ropes. It's a good Gathering Place for people who live here and for people who want to know what it is like to live here. Plus if you like to take pictures there is the only standing phone booth in the county.

Basically a gift shop with basic supplies, Gas and Propane in the middle of nowhere. Gas is expensive, food is local, staff is friendly, bathroom is an outhouse, and the landline phone is available for use so long as its not long distance. Open all year round.
