I rarely give 1 star but the last three times I had a prescription called in to the pharmacy all three were "not found" by the staff. The last incident took 2 days to get a common antibiotic script filled. When asked what we can do differently to get a better result no response was forthcoming. Einsteins theory of crazy kicked in (doing the same thing repeatedly and expecting different results) and we are now doing business with Walgreens competitors.

Pharmacist deleted my on file prescriptions when my dr retired and set me up for a few months leaving me screwed and without medication bc it was a “controlled substance”. Very judgmental, rude, and thinks you’re a drug addict if you have certain things prescribed.Super long wait times. Had a small rx after dental surgery and made me wait 7 hours to get it filled.

I got switched over here after the other 6th Ave branch closed. They've been totally backed up ever since. I waited weeks on an out of stock medication and then called to find out they did have it in stock but never filled it. Then I tried to fill some other meds at the same time and waited days but they never got filled. I called to check in and the tech was rude, said they were 300 orders behind and he'd try to get them done that day. They weren't. Several days later, they still weren't even in progress. Every time I tried to call, I was on hold for 30-40 mins.I finally switched my meds to Pearl branch and had different issues and still don't have my meds after literal WEEKS of waiting on some of them. The Tacoma Walgreens are an absolute mess right now and the techs are mean about it to anyone who is worried or frustrated by being unable to get their prescriptions filled, even urgent ones. I know it's not staff's fault but it makes this pharmacy unusable and something needs to change.

I waited 51 minutes with only two people ahead of me and I finally hung the phone up trying to get a prescription I hope this place doesn't fail anymore than 6th and Sprague

I recently visited this Walgreen and I was quite disappointed with the overall experience. The employees seemed unprofessional and lacked the necessary training to assist customers effectively. It would be beneficial for them to undergo further training to improve their customer service skills. I hope the store management addresses these issues promptly for a better shopping experience in the future.

Staff had 3 hours to prepare a prescription. When I showed up I waited 20 min to get to see a pharmacist who said they were behind and to come back in 10 minutes. The line was 8 cars deep by then so long story short it took close to an hour waiting to pick up a prescription. That should have been waiting and desperately needed.

Only messed up with the insurance but they were happy to fix it and make it right super friendly staff and they fill my prescriptions fairly quickly!

THE WORST pharmacy and pharmacist I have ever encountered! SO rude! Even my doctor said this pharmacist was the most arrogant and argumentative man he's ever spoken with. He thinks he knows better than your doctor, and will refuse to fill meds and argue with you about your prescriptions. The head pharmacist is an Asian male, low 40s if I had to guess-simply for identification purposes so someone can hold him accountable! Take your business elsewhere. They are absolutely awful and do not value or empathize with the needs of their customers.

The store is filthy and the pharmacy closes even when it's not 1:30 yet, for their lunch hour. I get there at 1:29 pm and they closed. I have given so much business to them over the years. NO MORE. I think they are financially on their last leg. Do not give them the business.

I recently moved to Tacoma and was super excited to have a pharmacy close to my house. I ve been very disappointed in the service by this pharmacy. The staff is friendly, but they are ALWAYS understaffed and when the patient portal forces you to call the pharmacy for questions, I can never get through! Average wait time to get through has been average of 20 minutes. I had to resort to calling my doctor's office to help me.

BEWARE! I've been going here for years. Let me tell you about my most reset visit. It starts waiting in line for over 30 minutes, just to get to the window to be told they still haven't ordered your medication from a prescription sent in 2.5 weeks ago. Oh, did I mention it was my third attempt to pick up said medication? Each attempt played out exactly the same. This location used to be good but it fell apart years ago. This is not a one off thing either. It is consistent every month. Unfortunately I have to visit them that often. In the past few months I was on hold for 40 minutes just to be hung up on. Good thing I had drove from my job while being on hold. Guess what they told me when I got there. What they always do. We don't have it, come back tomorrow. 75% of the time the staff is very rude. What do people do when they need medication to keep them alive? They can't wait weeks for a fill. This place is INFURIATING! I know there is a shortage of pharmacist so I stuck it out as long as I could but after yesterdays visit, I'll never be going back. I suggest you all heed the warnings. You'd get your medication faster if you built a chem lab in you garage and formulated the meds yourself.
