I had my first cycle class experience this week at Handlebar. The vibes are immaculate. Fun music, engaging and challenging workout, and Steve is super friendly. A someone who never does any form of cardio and definitely isn’t the definition of “highly fit,” its challenging for me to enjoy a workout class, but I was hooked after the first class!

For the past three weeks, Steve, the proprietor of Handlebar, and I have been working out with Zoom. I've despised (nearly) every second of doing it 2-3 times per week. Why? Steve challenges me, keeps me responsible, and won't allow me complain my way out of problems. In the past three weeks, I've made more physical development than I have in the more than a year that I have been attending group exercise courses. Worth the cash, without a doubt a fantastic investment. Additionally, his group exercise courses at the studio are fantastic, but it's simpler to slack off in a classroom.

Great instructor and fun music! Steve was awesome and made sure I knew how the bikes worked before class. Even the members of the class were really friendly and made me feel welcomed. I'll definitely be going back next time I'm in town.

New machines, pay per class, no membership, parking... what's not to like?

All inclusive, wonderful spin studio. Steve, the owner, is incredibly welcoming to new and existing customers. Located in downtown Tacoma with many options for parking. Awesome place to spin...whether it is your 1st or 100th ride. I highly recommend!!

Fun spot to get your sweat on! The only downside currently is the construction just outside the business. Support small businesses!

I love this cycling studio! The cycle & abs is my favorite class! Cristiana is a great instructor & has such a great energy when she teaches the class. The cold towels at the end of class are a great way to finish. Parking is a pain but what parking in any city isn't?

Great ride. High energy level of Steve, the owner/instructor, made the class so much more fun than at other cycling places. Great music to ride by. Lived the experience.

I like this alot, the only problem I've had with it was hard to find the entrance, they have a back way into it and a sign, but no way for us to go in. Also the seats on the bike, if you have any type of butt and not just flat, they will hurt.

Found Handlebar Cycling after moving from Belltown to Kent and looking for a closer spin class option than driving back into downtown Seattle. Handlebar has the same polished, professional, and high energy atmosphere of any of the popular cycling chains (cyclebar, flywheel etc), but is more welcoming and inclusive. The studio setup and bikes are great and the classes are super fun and challenging. While the classes are tough and the instructors set you up well to push yourself, the class format is accessible for everyone. At some studios you're encouraged to ride at a fast cadence out of the saddle which can make it hard to keep up and sometimes isn't even that great of a workout. At Handlebar classes I've found the instructors still offer great variety and challenge without incorporating a fast cadence out of saddle, so I'd still feel comfortable bringing my Mom or a friend less familiar with spin classes. They are also great about COVID precautions with the bikes spaced out, temperature checks etc. Would encourage anyone who loves cycling, or anyone who is new to cycling looking to try something new, to check it out.
